"It takes about one to three days from the time Zora eggs are laid for them to hatch. But if they aren't kept in this aquarium until then... they may die. The Zoras are well aware of this, but they're still late. I wonder if something has happened at Zora Hall?"

The Zora Eggs are items from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. These eggs are the offspring of Lulu, a Zora who is the lead vocalist of The Indigo-Gos, a Zora band. They were, however, stolen from her by the Gerudo Pirates. Another member of the Indigo-Gos, Mikau, died trying to save them.

Link, upon arriving at Great Bay in Termina, discovers the dying Mikau. Link plays the "Song of Healing" to heal Mikau's soul and allows him to forgive himself, and obtains the embodiment of his soul in the form of the Zora Mask, which transforms Link into a Zora when he wears it. While in Zora form, Link meets Lulu, who mistakes him for Mikau, at Zora Cape. Tragically, she has lost her voice, apparently due to the disappearance of her eggs, and can not sing at her concert.

Link recovers the eggs from the Pirates' Fortress and Pinnacle Rock, and takes them to the Marine Research Laboratory. Once all seven eggs are released inside the tank, they hatch and form musical notes on the "music staff" carved into the wall. Immediately after releasing the last egg, Link learns the "New Wave Bossa Nova" from the hatched Zora Eggs. Link plays the song for Lulu, restoring her voice and awakening the Giant Turtle, who had assumed the form of a nearby island. The Giant Turtle takes Link to the Great Bay Temple.

[edit] Trivia

Upon hatching, these Zora eggs bare resemblance to Mikau, gutarist of The Indigo-Gos, and likely father of Lulu's eggs.
