Cat vs. Dog
Edit
Both are pets in The Legend of Zelda series. Both are quadrupeds. Both can both be picked up by Link. Both are common pets. And they are real animals. This would be a cool and interesting battle.--Link in Termina (talk) 23:59, August 8, 2010 (UTC)
Oppose: You didn't really even need to give a description. I think we got the point. I personally think it is pretty weak though. --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 00:02, August 9, 2010 (UTC)
Support: I don't really know whether it would turn into a battle about the creatures in the games or which real-life pet people prefer more, which is interesting to me, despite the far too obvious connections. By the way, you aren't secretly a shady film company executive subliminally cross-promoting Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore, are you? --AuronKaizer! 00:06, August 9, 2010 (UTC)

Old Man vs. Orca
Edit
OOOOOOOOOORCAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! He returns, fixing to fight another legendary old geezer of the Zelda series... the mysterious Old Man. They both provide Link with the proverbial cutlery (read: sword) needed to finish the proverbial dessert (read: quest) early on in their respective games. The older generation still has plenty to give when it comes to entertainment value! --AuronKaizer! 00:12, August 9, 2010 (UTC)

Ciela vs. Marin
Edit
Both find Link on the shores of a foreign island and aid him throughout his quest. At the end of the game both are separated from Link. Marin makes a wish to the Wind Fish, and Ciela was rescued by Oshus, who is really another whale deity. Both live with 'relatives'; Oshus treats Ciela like his granddaughter and Marin lives with her father. Not the best, but ehh. -Stars talk

Anju's Grandmother vs. Niko (Spirit Tracks)
Edit
I'm resuggesting this now when MM has been out for two weeks (and BTW, I agreed with you guys, I just didn't notice). This seemed to do pretty well. Here are my original connections: They're both old people living with younger people. In their youth, they knew well the local ruler (Dotour and Tetra). They can be visited early in their games and if Link returns after getting certain things done, they will reward him with an upgrade. Most importantly, they both want to share their knowledge with younger people and tell Link stories about myths and history. Unfortunately, Link can't listen them completely without falling asleep. lunarChild 06:42, August 9, 2010 (UTC)
Neutral: More eloquent and persuasive use of wording and connections than last time, but still not good enough, mostly because the fight idea itself isn't something that makes me want to shout. --AuronKaizer! 08:17, August 9, 2010 (UTC)

Orca vs. Orca
Edit
After doing much thinking and reaserch and making complicated charts and diagrams, I have concluded that the only thing in the entire world that could possibly beat orca is another orca. OOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRRCCCCCCCCCCCCAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! Plus, it is the least one sided fight in the history of the TOC.--Hylianhero777 (talk) 12:42, August 9, 2010 (UTC)
Oppose: I would not be shocked if this wins, but I will not personally support the creation of such a trend. --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 13:38, August 9, 2010 (UTC)
Oppose: No. Definitely not. -Isdrakthül 13:40, August 9, 2010 (UTC)
Comment: Hey guys, it's just a phase sort of thing. I think once we get one joke fight in, the joke fights will stop. It's just kind of a refresher, not taking the TOC seriously for just a bit, you know?--Hylianhero777 (talk) 13:45, August 9, 2010 (UTC)
Comment: I know you know, I was more directing the comment towards joe, because I don't think that this is a "trend" as much as a quick refresher, just having a little fun. I don't think, nor do I want for there to be 8 joke suggestions every week and a stupid fight every week in the TOC. but every once in a while I think it would be good to have a little fun with the TOC.--Hylianhero777 (talk) 14:09, August 9, 2010 (UTC)
Comment: The trend was referring to one person against itself. I don't want to make this seem acceptable in the future. --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 14:11, August 9, 2010 (UTC)
Comment: well, the only reason that someone would do one person against itself is if it was a joke, and like I said, I think once we get just 1 joke fight into the TOC, the joke fights will stop for a good while.--Hylianhero777 (talk) 14:39, August 9, 2010 (UTC)

Byrne vs. Nabooru
Edit
I got a lot of neutrals last time, with people telling me to bring it back another time. It lost to Jovani and Pamela's Father. Both are on a mission to become more powerful. Nabooru wants Link to get her the Silver Gauntlets so she can become stronger and infiltrate the Spirit Temple while Byrne hopes reviving Malladus will gain him great strength. Both are used by the antagonists's main minion(s) as minions themselves. They both appear as bosses and after defeat they become allies. They also are revealed at this point to be part of the group of sages in the game (seven sages and lokomo sages) and seem to leave the natural world.--Ingo the great (talk) 14:48, August 9, 2010 (UTC)
Support: I was one of those neutrals last time. But seeing as my standards have already been lowered this week, this would be bumped to support. With all that being said though, this in itself is actually better than I previously thought. I would want to say Byrne will win, but OoT almost never loses. This may be an equal fight and I like the connections. --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 14:50, August 9, 2010 (UTC)
