Week 56: Dampé vs. Deku Butler

Dampé (Ocarina of Time)
Winner!
"Tie!"
Deku Butler

LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMEN! Welcome to the 56th week in the TEMPLE OF COURAGE! All right! And this week, we have two combatants that like to race Link to the finish.

In this gray corner, we have a gravekeeper that only comes out at night, please welcome, DAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMPÉ!

And in this green corner, we have the member of the deku that serves the royal family and lives in Termina, please welcome, the DEEEEEEEEEEEKU BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTLER!

Who will win? that my dear voters is up to you, so LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET READY TO RUMMMMMMMMMMMBLE! Yeah!

Votes for Dampé

  1. I've gotta go for this guy; my greatest memories of being freaked the heck out in videogames lie with him. I remember him as a likeable character, and when I got the creeps from being snatched by a wallmaster in the ikana underground 3rd day, I'd think "stick to him and the hand won't get ya, stick to him..." --Caiaphasthesympathist (talk) 22:14, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
  2. Much easier than the Deku Butler, who has you jumping off cliffs and running at fire blindly. Baltro [ talk ] 22:17, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
  3. I like this guy. While the Deku Butler is really awesome, I think Dampé is cooler. Besides, I like the Hookshot better than some mask that looks like a Moblin. (well, to me it looks like a Moblin. And to be honest, Moblins scare me.) Lisa URAQT
  4. dampe would beat deku butler to a pulp, with his shovel, nuff said(haha) --C2 Phantom Zant 22:32, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
  5. I just like Dampe more. --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 13:52, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
  6. In a fight Dampe has a shovel and the hookshot, the Deku Butler has poofy hair. You decide.
  7. This guy reminded me of my grampa when I was little! I love his goofy smile. Mrs.MikauShadLink (talk) 20:26, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
  8. I like Dampe a little bit more than the Deku Butler. It actually made me a little sad when I was little to find he had died in OoT.(Darknut15 (talk) 21:08, 14 July 2009 (UTC))
  9. It pains me to vote against something from MM, and especially against a guy who has a great backstory and the better maze, at least as far as entertainment value goes. But the gravekeeper's maze actually proved to be a bit of a challenge, and also happens to rock. Tough choice here, but I followed my heart and/or the bribe I got. --AuronKaizer! 21:51, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
  10. Come on, this guy looks like and unmasked Jason Voorhees with a shovel an the other guy looks like Farore inside a tree stump. User:Redeadhunter 17:48 14 July 2009
  11. Dampe's a classic, is in more games then the Deku Butler, and is much weirder. Also, Dampe gives you the Hookshot, while the Deku Butler gives you the Mask of Scents. The Mask of Scents doesn't do that much, while the Hookshot does. The Midna 14:45 15 July 2009(talk)
  12. He's got a freakin shovel and that butlers only got a freakin mustash. if he put an edge on that sucker all he'd have to do is yell timber and swing.Questmaster216 (talk)questmaster216
  13. This dude is Awesome in a freakishly cool way like your's truly. I like the shovel. I wonder if I could turn it into a subatomic pulsar super shovel, Yes...I'd need 3 Flibber nuts and a bubble of antimatter... yes ... yes. . . yeeesss... Zeerotytus (talk)/00:55, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
  14. Dampe is the man...the freaky-humped-boneyard-keeper manuser: Longhorn Velez
  15. Dampe gives you a better item. Said item happens to by one of my favorite items in any game ever. Jedimasterlink
  16. Hey, he's a pretty cool guy. Plus, he's super creepy. That earns points. Sincerely, Watcher.
  17. Dampe is the kind of nice guy who makes me wanna ruin his graveyard. :) --Nunovanhalen (talk) 03:06, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

  1. Dampe had a better item. And I liked him more than the Butler
  2. Dampe's chase was more of a challenge. Besides, he dies, so he has to win!
  3. I like the hookshot better than the mask of scents. And it was harder to complete Dampe's chase.
  4. Hmm...I guess I like Dampe better, for one thing his maze is less frustrating, and two the item you win is much better. Just think about it, who would you vote for if it was Hookshot vs. Mask of Scents?
  5. Dampe's race was cooler and you got a better item from him.
  6. Dampe's race was shorter than Deku Butler's and less annoying.
  7. Dampe is the best guy ever. And I really hate that Deku Butler guy. Go Dampe!

Votes for Deku Butler

  1. The Deku Butler's maze was actually entertaining. I remember being excruciatingly frustrated by Dampe because he always dropped flames behind him, which is hard for an OCD geek like me that always wants to run down the middle of a tunnel. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 23:26, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
  2. His maze was much more challenging. Metroidhunter32 23:59, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
  3. Dampé's maze was a lot more unforgiving than the Deku Butler's. What made it worse was that you HAD to go through it to progress through the game; the Mask of Scents was optional (IIRC). Sorry, Dampé; even though the reward from yours was so much better, the ReDeads in your grave made up my mind for me. Diachronos (talk) 04:41, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
  4. The Deku Butlers maze was much more interesting than the random tunnels Dampe uses. Midna Rocks
  5. The Deku Butler can hover with his umbrella. Dampe only got hovering powers when he was dead. DragonPhoenix13 (talk) 14:02, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
  6. Dampe was slow when you had to use him on the third day in MM, and he needed to be faster. Deku butler had an extremely frustrating maze, but you could come back later with the bunny hood (which really didn't make it THAT much easier)... Besides, dekus are cooler than odd, deformed, gravekeepers. Dialask77 Ice Wizard Ice Sorceror 18:25, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
  7. I had to go through this guy's maze a lot more times than Dampe's. Oddball 464 19:25, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
  8. This Guys Maze is amazing and long.. It was so hard to keep up with him at times.. sigh.. and plus..he doesn't throw fire balls at you when ur following him.. he also looks more fancy lmao User:Rachiko
  9. ReDead and fireballs SUCK. End of story. Deku Butler. --Voraciouscrawmad (talk) 10:15, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
  10. Deku Scrubs Rule. End Of Story. Deku Butler. --Zoras Sapphire (talk) 23:29, 15 July 2009 (UTC)Zoras Sapphire
  11. Dampe was annoying and even though his prizes were much better than the deku butler's, the ReDeads just ruined it for me. They were the stuff of nightmares for a seven year old! Plus, Dampe is only a human! --HeroofAwesome (talk)
  12. Dampe's race is short, boring, and easy where as the Deku Butler's was lengthly, engrossing and highly entertaining.--Gbadude3 (talk) 20:40, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
  13. it should be noted this is the only side quest to ever reduce me to tears (Foutlet (talk) 16:49, 18 July 2009 (UTC))
  14. Um, Dampe just creeps me out, being a gravedigger and all. Plus he was more annoying. User:Light and Shadow
  15. Dampé looks like my dad. CREEPY. zeldafreak39
  16. I was going to abstain on this one, as I haven't played Majora's Mask, but I just can't stand by and let this guy lose.03:38, 20 July 2009 (UTC)MaloMart (talk)
  17. I'm voting for the Deku Butler. He was just a more original character. Plus his maze was just generally more fun to play than Dampe's. Know-It-All Bird

  1. I enjoyed chasing this guy more, there was some cool places and a lot of areas where Link would do mid-air tricks.
  2. this guy pissed me off the most bbecause there were jumping prts that were simple yet some how i cold not get past them untill 6 tries later.
  3. His race was more challenging and fun.
  4. Dampe's maze is boring. wat makes it worse is it's MANDATORY, which i reallyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy hate.
  5. I love this guy's hair. Dampe doesn't even have hair. Besides that, Dampe's shovel doesn't count for anything when you pull out the Captain's Mask because he goes running into his house faster then I've ever seen him move in a game XD
  6. This guys maze was a real challenge. In Dampe's you just had to run, not jump, not fire arrows to get past stuff, and not kill monsters.
  7. Dampe's maze had redeads. I don't like redeads.

Just out of curiosity: What happens if the match ends in a tie? Diachronos (talk) 15:42, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

i dont know. dont think it has ever happened. --C2 Phantom Zant 16:53, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
If I remember correctly there was one fight before that ended in a tie, Watcher (or who ever did the ToC at the time) put "tie" and a picture of both characters in the winner box. Midna Rocks
I don't know what you're thinking of, but we've never had a tie. You can look back through the archives. The closest thing we've ever gotten to a tie is Composer Brothers vs. Guru-Guru, which ended with Composer Brothers ahead by only half a point. That's probably what we would do if we did have a tie, though. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 05:32, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

after doing some digging, it appears that AK started the whole ToC "Wrestlemania" thing. it was on week 27 that he made this edit: http://zelda.wikia.com/index.php?title=Zeldapedia:Temple_of_Courage&diff=84064&oldid=84055 and pretty much started the whole thing. so in essence, Watcher, Mr.Fairy, and whoever comes next, should now that AK started a major part of the ToC. --C2 Phantom Zant 14:11, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

I'm fairly certain Watcher already knows. I don't know about Mr.Fairy, though. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 20:14, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

Opps, I must have been thinking of another ToC like thing on a different wiki. Midna Rocks

Thanks for that info XYZ it should be noted that my PC's internet has failed so i had to use my Wii to vote.... it aparently isn't a good co operator with wiki soft ware XD. i wanted to vote for the deku buttler & i would appreciate it if a moderator could move it too its proper place. sorry for the trouble & thank you for help. (Foutlet (talk) 17:02, 18 July 2009 (UTC))

Oh, yeah, I knew about that. In fact, when whoever it was before me was doing it stepped down, I decided to take up AK's idea, and well, you've all seen the results. Oh, and I'm back,so yeah. Nice seeing you lot again. Sincerely, Watcher.

O lucy I'm home!-The Platt is back

Holy Nayru! We had a tie! My vote made a difference! Hooray!20:13, 20 July 2009 (UTC)MaloMart (talk)

Week 55: Jovani vs. Fabulously Rich Family

Jovani
Winner!
"Fabulously Rich Family!"
Fabulously Rich Father Transformed
15.5 < 32.5
Fabulously Rich Father Transformed

LLLLLLLLLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMEN! We are now proud to present to you the 55th week in the TEMPLE OF COURAGE! All right! And now, for your viewing pleasure, we shall present our cursed combatants.

In the gold corner, we have a man made of solid gold. Blinded by his greed, he traded his soul to the ghosts which roam the night, and now relies on the hero to save him, he has come all the way from Hyrule Castle Town; give it up for JOVANIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!

And in the red corner, we have a group of mutated spiders. Also blinded by their greed, they traded their souls to the golden spiders of the night, and now also need a hero to save them, all the way from Kakariko; give it up for the SKULLTULAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA FAMILY!

So, the cursed, greedy one with no souls shall now face of for the ulitmate prize; victory! But tonight, only one may leave the ring as the winner. Who will it be? That, my dear voters, is up to you! Their patience is wearing thin, so LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET READY TO RUMBLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE! Yeah!

Votes for Jovani

  1. Poes, in my opinion, are much cooler, as they are dead, so this guy made the better deal. Plus, his soul is in forty less pices than the Skulltula Family. Jovani has my vote. Sincerely, Watcher.
  2. I detest the Gold Skulltula sidequest, there were just too many of them hidden in secret rooms in the dungeons. Also, Jovani's sidequest can essentially give you infinite rupees, so he gets my vote. Jedimasterlink
  3. Nice doggie. Baltro [ talk ] 19:33, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
  4. He has his own SONG! Jovani Jovani, Idiotic Troll, blinded by greed the imps took his soul, and even today, somewhere they say, though he's all grown up he cries... WAAAH! Sniff! Snuff! Although I was a little bumbed that there were so few pieces to gather. What, does Nintendo think we're wussbags here? Only 60 Poe Souls?! WTF Thats child play! Now, the skulltula sidequest, with the whole 100, that was decient. I'd vote for them too, but Jovani has a song... AND a pet cat! *sings* Kamari no Hyrule (talk) P.S. This poor sap lost his koibito so cut him a break, ya know? The Skulltula family, well, there a FAMILY, but this guy lives all alone with his cat and now his girlfriend ran off with some bum of a Palace Guard?! NO FAIR! He gets a pitty vote!
  5. Jovani is just better. Vined
  6. I like this dude. He's cool. And I kinda have a grudge against the Skulltula Tokens bc there was a gold skulltula on the wall, I shot it with the slingshot and couldn't get the token bc it was too high and I didn't have a boomerang and it disappeared after I left and never came back. So it was wasted and imposssible to get. :( --Lisa URAQT
  7. I had more sympathy for him. He made a very bad choice and lost it all. The spider family also freaken sacred me when I was younger.(Darknut15 (talk) 03:04, 6 July 2009 (UTC))
  8. Jovani is made of gold, and has a ton of money. Also, he has a cat, which trumps just about everything in my book. Dialask77 Ice Wizard Ice Sorceror 04:34, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
  9. He's one of the few people to act totally natural around you as a wolf. He's so sweet! Mrs.MikauShadLink (talk) 05:34, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
  10. The Gold Skulltula sidequest is far more annoying. --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 15:14, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
  11. It should be noted that i am not familiar with wiki formating and i may not be doing this right but none the less jovani gets my vote because his curse (being imobilized till X number of ghosts have been killed would be more unbareable for me. foutlet (Foutlet (talk) 22:11, 6 July 2009 (UTC))
  12. Trying to get close to the spider guys to talk usually ended up with me getting knocked on my ass. Jovani, on the other hand, only makes me mad by calling me "doggie" when I'm actually a wolf. Diachronos (talk) 23:20, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
  13. It was a tough decision, but I had to pick Jovani for several reasons. 1) It takes a fewer amount of poes than skulltulas to get unlimited rupies 2) I find it sad how he was "goldenized" (lol), and soon learned how greedy he was, but he was too late to save himself. Poor soul. Though, I must admit, I had memories with OoT's Golden Skulltulas. 050294 (talk) 05:11, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

  1. I find Jovani has a slightly deeper story to him and I enjoyed killing poes more than skulltulas because they gave more of a challenge. Plus his nickname for you was cute. "Doggie."
  2. Let's see... A guy made of solid gold versus a family of spiders. Gold, spiders. Hmm. Tough decision.
  3. HEEHEEEHEEE! gold..... me likes rupees alot
  4. Go Jovani way better and cooler and hes golden an has a cool cat and gives you a secret passageway to the castle and teaches you about POEs and soon will make me rich (when I find all POEs!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
  5. I never found the 100th Gold Skulltula. Screw that. Plus, Gengle gives you infinite money!

Votes for Skulltula Family

  1. Gives you cooler things. Haru Mclean Namikaze | Stalchild | talk | Kanji: ???? ? ? ?????, Romaji: Namikaze Hantou Makurin
  2. The prizes are better, the quest is more challenging, more people were cursed, and I just overall like them better than Jovani. Oddball 464 19:26, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
  3. Jovani was boring, and his whole "doggy" thing annoyed me. I found it hard to sympathize with his "oh noez i need to get to my girlfriend" plight either. The Skulltula family, on the other hand, had a totally understandable problem and I felt more inclined to help them. Plus, they give more prizes. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 19:53, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
  4. I love these guys just because I could hit them to make them swing, then get behind them and stab them... and get thrashed by them the next time I tried to talk to them, but they're infinitely more lovable than Jovani there... --Caiaphasthesympathist (talk) 20:45, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
  5. Sweet, my suggestion won. Well these guys are part of arguably one of the best side quests of the series, so I'm sticking with them.—Triforce 14Triforce4 21:20, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
  6. These were more fun to get, plus you could actually fight the cursed people. Portal-Kombat
  7. I freaked out when I went into their house and a Skulltula came down from the ceiling. I actually tried to kill it at first. Jovani was boring, and I hated him for calling me doggy all the time. Mskusu (talk) 01:18, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

  13. The child hood memories of playing Zelda at 10 PM when your running through a temple a BAM!! a skulltula drops down and hits you and you nearly jump through a window the good old days Keatonew
  14. A guy that can't do crap by himself, against a familey that can move and attack? -.- User:Nintendo fan
  15. These dudes are awesome little spiders. They rock!
  16. They are creepy, and scared me when i was little *Shivers* User:Rachiko
  17. I really hate those stupid bounties of that TP guy. Skulltulas are just an insteresting story to remember, without them there will be no Jovani. TheNewSheik (talk)
  18. I have a bit of a grudge against Jovani's side quest kind of like Lisa URAQT's problem. I went through the Temple of Time and forgot to use the statue to get at the poe behint the gate and now i'll never get infinet rupees. :( Midna Rocks
  19. im going with the family because you get better prizes:)User:DekuGod47
  20. The Skulltula family is a classic, plus you can get stuff without having to get all of the spiders. The Midna
  21. Jovani creeps me out. I mean, I find him really disturbing. Plus, Skulltulas are from OoT! Turtleman579
  22. Jovani can't move, and the Skulltula family can move AND attack. It's obvious who would win. Lordgeorge16 (talk) 16:42, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
  23. I remember the first time I entered the skulltula house. Of course I had a fear of spiders, so I ran from the house screaming. Anyway, I'm voting for these guys because the way the family was cursed is more ominous than Jovani's situation. Plus, I always love stunning them, and then running into them again to take a blow. User3000
  24. Pshaw, they give you so much cooler stuff --Marou239 (talk) 20:21, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

  1. I have to go with these guys because there are 5 of them, and only one of the type Jovani is.Mr.Fairy
  2. the skulltula family because there are more of them and they are skulltula's, so they could kill you. Also Jovani is paralyzed so he cant do crap.
  3. I don't like Jovani. Or his cat. I actually screamed when I saw these guys.
  4. The Skulltula family is actually frightening. Or at least it was when I first played OoT 6 years ago. Jovani is ugly, but the Skulltulas are cool.
  5. Skulltullas are less annoying to hunt and kill than Poes.
  6. Jovani is, plain and simple, pathetic. Yeah, he turns into solid gold, but he can't spend himself and no one in Castle Town knows about his predicament. Cursed fat golden genie-guy, CURSED FAMILY OF GIANT SPIDERS, cursed fat golden genie-guy, CURSED FAMILY OF GIANT SPIDERS.
  7. Yeah, Jovani is sadder because he has no one around him, but sadder doesnt mean better. The skulltulas were actually creepy and they gave you lots of prizes. You didnt have to collect them all to get something, and if you wanted to collect them all it was more challenging. HeroofAwesome
  8. Jovani may be shiny, but he's ANNOYING!!!! And OoT is way better.
  9. A family of skulltulas would easily beat one person

OK, here's what's happening. I'm going to camp for the next two weeks, so I'm going to have Mr. Fairy take over all my functions (unless someone takes care of this place before him). I'm leaving tomorow, so have a nice day, ladies and gentlemen! Sincerley, Watcher.

im not gonna vote for this fight because i new that it would be to one-sided no matter who's way it went. i just don't like this fight, for some odd reason. --C2 Phantom Zant 02:47, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

I wouldn't give up just yet; I've seen some fights that looked one-sided, but the fighter that looked like it was going to lose ended up crushing the other. Diachronos (talk) 06:34, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

I am seriously getting sick of reading a variation of this sentence: "A [cool thing] versus a [not cool thing]? Gee, let me think." I'm not saying anyone has to stop phrasing their votes like that, I'm just saying it's starting to get on my nerves. 05:40, 7 July 2009 (UTC)MaloMart (talk)

Actually Jedimasterlink the skulltula family also gives infinet Rupees when you help them all Midna Rocks

Oops. Oh well. I wouldn't know, that's one of the few collecting sidequests I haven't beaten yet. Jedimasterlink

Um, I'm a user now. Hello to all. DragonPhoenix13

dunno if you should say it here, as ive seen your user account before, so i assume that you were a user, but hello new user! dont become a vandal on us(its the last thing we need!) so feel free to ask any questions, we are here to help!! --C2 Phantom Zant 14:21, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

I tend to try not to vandalize stuff, at least not on purpose. I'm still getting the hang of this, so I might by accident, just warning you...DragonPhoenix13 (talk)

you wont be vandalizing, just making a mistake and need help correcting it, its called help. i made mistakes when i was new to zeldapedia, but now ive gotten the hang of it. but so far you haven't made any bad edits, just a few things that need helping. and by vandalizing something i mean like putting nonsense or gibberish or swear words or just stupid or bizzare things that dont belong there. if you do that(constantly) you get blocked. its okay. --C2 Phantom Zant 17:43, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

All right. DragonPhoenix13 (talk)

yeah as i said before this battle won't get my vote, because it is way to one-sided, and im sick and tired of these one-sided fights. --C2 Phantom Zant 01:59, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

To be honest, I'm more sick of people that are sick of one-sided fights really. For one thing, most fights are one-sided, with a few exceptions now and then. It's just natural for two things to have inequal fanbases. The main reason I'm so tired of it though is that most think that being two-sided makes a Temple of Courage fight, and will oppose anything that even has the slightest chance of being one-sided. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 03:02, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
Im just sick of all this bickering back-and-forth. can we all just vote for fights on how we feel about them? i just don't feel this fight. not saying all fights will be fare(as in equal), just that its more interesting those few times when it is close. but right now i would like something interesting to happen, instead of it being so pre-dictable. --C2 Phantom Zant 03:12, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

Ok guys, I need a voulenteir to do the ToC this week because when I was just getting ready to finish the introduction, my computer (Note:this might be because the things a load of garbage) it just sent me right back to where I started.Mr.Fairy

LLLLLLLLLLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMEN! We are now proud to present to you the 54th week in the TEMPLE OF COURAGE! All right! And just to make someone mad, we have today the most annoying enemies EVERRRRRRRRRRRRR!

In the tan corner, we have a tube-shaped enemy. Sometimes found underwater, these enemies can suck you up like a vacuum, steal you clothes and shields, and have annoying cousins that steal your rupees, it's a LLLLLIIIIIIIKE LLLLLIIIIIIIKE!

And in the purple-ish corner, we have a bald bird. All the way from Termina, it uses cheap attacks from behind to steal your stuff, turns tail and flies to Clock Town as soon as it takes something, and drops a ton of rupees; it's the TAKURRRIIIIIIIII!

So, two kinda over-powered, masters of theft and annoyance who are hated around Hyrule and Termina. But only one can win tonight. Who will it be? That, my dear voters, is up to you! The break-ins are ready to start, so LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET TO THE RUMBLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE! Yeah!

  5. Originally, I was more of a fan of the Takkuri. Then, two days ago, I was playing Majora's Mask and it stole my Hylian Shield. So I went back in time and I STILL didn't have my shield. So I did all of Ikana up to the Mirror Shield part, then went back to Clock Town to buy potions and noticed that they were selling Hylian Shields. That's when I stopped liking Takkuri. I could say more about how the "Curiosity Shop Guy" is a jerk who doesn't only sell your stolen swords but your SHIELDS as well, but I won't. Portal-Kombat

  14. Oh those Like Likes! One time in the Fire Temple in Master Quest one fell on me and ate both my fire tunic and my shield. Also in the original Legend of Zelda they would eat my big shield when I was in a dungeon with wizzrobes. What a kind creature. They are much more annoying and cool. 23. Like-Likes are in a lot more games, and they always steal stuff that you really need (not to mention the extremely annoying "Rupee-Like" variation that tempts you with a Rupee attached to its head and suck your wallet dry when you fall for it). The Takuri doesn't appear in a lot of games, and in most of the ones it's in it only takes Rupees (at least as far as I know). Diachronos (talk) 17:30, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

  27. I actually find Like Likes kind of creepy. And note, not only do they not give you back your shield if you wait too long, in Oracle of Seasons & Ages, they don't give you back your shield at all! So every time one steals your L3 Mirror Shield, you have to go all the way back to the village and purchase another shield for 60 rupees. My vote goes to the Like Like. Besides, it would probably eat takkuri. Sir Real

Week 53: Carock vs. Red Wizzrobe

Wizzrobe (The Wind Waker)

LLLLLLLLLLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMEN! We are now proud to present to you the 53rd week in the TEMPLE OF COURAGE! All right! And, for your viewing pleasure, we have brought in the most powerful Wizzrobes in the world!

In the shadows of the blue corner, we have a tall, shadowing figure. Guarding the Maze Island Palace, he hides in the darkness of his cloak, masters all Wizzrobes, and falls to the power of the reflect spell; it's CARRRRRRRRRRRROCK!

And in the red corner, we have a bird-like shaman. All the way from the Wind Temple, he uses his powers to summon monsters, can teleport at random, and yields to the Hero's Bow; it's the RED WIZZZZZZZZZZZZROBE!

So, two all-powerful, masters of Wizzrobes and magic who are equal in power. But only one can win tonight. Who will it be? That, my dear voters, is up to you! The spells are ready to fly, so LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET READY TO RUMBLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE! Yeah!

  2. Even though I despise Zelda II, this boss was actually quite fun! Especially compared to the rest of the game which is horrendously horrendous. --Flashpenny (talk) 21:25, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
  3. Carock was a boss, and even has his own name. Red Wizzrobe could be any wizzrobe of great power. Carock, on the other hand, is the only confirmed wizzrobe with a name, so it can be assumed that he is either the most powerful wizzrobe of all time, or their leader. His fight was challenging if you had almost no health left and one life because it was tough to try and get around him without getting hit by him at all. Red wizzrobe was fun to fight, but not as challenging overall. Dialask77 Ice Wizard Ice Sorceror 21:50, 21 June 2009 (UTC)

Too bad there was just one. Okay, it wasn't up last week, but he broke the rule two weeks ago, and he has suggested it 3 of the last 4 weeks.
He resuggested it that time because he allowed the fight that was tied with his to go through and as such felt that he deserved a second chance since he did tie after all. And I sort of agree with him. It's debatable I guess. We certainly do have problems with ties, generally that's what causes this two-week-in-a-row suggesting. And another thing, Watcher is the one doing most of the Temple of Courage fights. You'll have to ask him if you want to take over again. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 00:08, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

Uh, Xykeb as a bit of a contradiction to your reason for voting for Red Wizzrobe, wasn't a Darknut the mini-boss in the Temple of the Gods and a pair of them acting as another mini-boss in the sanctuary of Hyrule Castle near the climax of the game? --Flashpenny (talk) 00:31, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

I don't consider that legitimate because they're not just minibosses if you know what I mean. They're just used as minibosses. I mean, would you consider Moblin a miniboss? One does appear as the "miniboss" of Dragon Roost Island, but I wouldn't consider the entire enemy class miniboss material. Just that specific one. That's what I meant, that the Darknut enemy in general is not a miniboss. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 05:14, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
Valid point. --Big Poe=Nice Guy (talk) 20:00, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

You can yell at me if you like, but I feel the need to explaing things. My computer has been acting funny, and I've been unable to get on without something going wrong. That's why I haven't been here for a while, and haven't updated Best Way To. I have, though, and I hope to resume normal schedual soon. Sincerely, Watcher.
