Featured articles of Zeldapedia are articles that represent the best articles Zeldapedia has to offer. For articles to be featured on the main page, see the queue. For previously featured articles, see Zeldapedia:Previous featured articles.

So just what makes a featured article? Well, we've prepared a list just in case someone should ask that, and it is as follows.

An article must...

  1. well written and detailed
  2. unbiased and have a neutral point of view
  3. factual and not incorporate theory presented as fact
  4. properly sourced if controversial information is entered into it
  5. ...not be tagged with any sort of improvement templates (i.e. cleanup, expand, etc.)
  6. ...follow the Manual of Style.
  7. ...have a succinct proper lead that can be used for the front page featured box
  8. ...have a complete, detailed biography if it is a character article
  9. ...not be the subject of any ongoing edit wars

See here for a list of current featured articles on Zeldapedia. For more information on what makes a featured article, see Wikipedia:Wikipedia's treatise on featured articles.

How to nominate an article

  1. First, nominate an article you find is worthy of featured status, putting it at the bottom of the list below; see criteria above. In addition, add {{nominated}} to the top of the article you are nominating so other users will know of and vote on the nomination.
  2. Certain users may object to the nomination if they disagree that the article is good enough; they must then supply reasons for doing so, and ways to improve the article (errors, style, organization, images, notability, sources). If no reason is supplied, their vote will not be counted until they do this.
  3. Supporters adjust the article until the objectors (with reasonable objections) are satisfied.
  4. The article is placed on the featured article list and added to the front page queue.

How to vote

  1. Before doing anything, be sure to read the article completely, keeping a sharp eye out for mistakes. Edit and fix these if you have time.
  2. Afterwards, compare the article to the criteria listed above, and then either support or object the article's nomination. If you object, please supply concrete reasons for doing so, and how it can be improved.
  3. As stated above, any objections will be looked upon by the nominator, supporters, and anyone willing to improve the article, and action will be taken to please the objectors.
  4. Once all objectors' complaints have been solved (or the article has 5 supports and no objections after at least seven days), the article will be added to the queue and be officially known as a "featured article".
  5. If a page reaches 5 supports, excluding the nominator, in at least seven days, without any opposes, it will be added automatically to the queue.

When an article garners the necessary supports for the nomination and any opposes are solved, the nomination will be archived, the article will be marked with the {{featured}} template, and eventually be highlighted on the main page as a featured article using the template {{Featured Article}}.

When an article is removed from the main page, {{featured}} will be replaced with {{FFeatured}} to indicate that the article has already been showcased on the main page.

Four Sword

This is a pretty good article and the topic is from game's that don't get much attention in the FA realm. It is also important to the games it is found in. So read over it and see. I thought it was good enough for this when I was editing it a moment ago. --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 20:23, November 10, 2011 (UTC)

  1. Well I really liked the idea of multiple Links all as team players...and the sword looks cool. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Luxio hawkfur (talkcontribs)

  1. It's erh... Not that it's bad or the article is bad, but just something about it seems wrong. – Jazzi (talk) 11:37, July 16, 2012 (UTC)

I'm a bit tentative here. It's got non-standard sections and the game sections could use major condensing as they are almost as long as the game page plot summaries as of right now. --AuronKaizer! 01:10, November 14, 2011 (UTC)

The article was written greatly with lots of information and she is an important character in Majora's Mask. User:Coolkat100 20:58, November 27, 2011 (UTC)

  1. This was supposed to me my suggestion, but being the perfectionist that I am, I still don't see it as perfect, and thus I accept that I was late to the party. I still hate you forever, though. --AuronKaizer! 08:49, December 2, 2011 (UTC)
  2. We're going to need more of these, so... --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 03:01, June 3, 2012 (UTC)
  3. It works. It's a great page and she's an important character. Jazzi 14:54, July 4, 2012 (UTC)
  4. I think this article is very well written.--Kingkillerbee (talk) 05:26, July 16, 2012 (UTC)

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

This is a very long article and is about a good game for the Wii. Has a plot and pictures, gallery and videos.  Yugimuto1    Talk   21 edits     13:48, June 16, 2012 (UTC)

  1. Seems good to me. --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 19:21, June 16, 2012 (UTC)
  2. Why not? AWWW YEA! (talk) 09:15, June 30, 2012 (UTC)
  3. I'm in for it. It was an amazing game. --Amythistfire (talk) 01:12, July 4, 2012 (UTC)
  4. The article is good. Jazzi 14:54, July 4, 2012 (UTC)
  5. It's a nice article, and it should be featured since most games were already featured.--Kingkillerbee (talk) 20:30, July 20, 2012 (UTC)

I think Marin's is a pretty good page and I'm kind of surprised that she hasn't been featured before, especially since she is an important character.--Kingkillerbee (talk) 05:29, July 16, 2012 (UTC)

  1. It truly is a good article, the ordering of the pages is nice. The only thing wrong that I can find is the fact that the Melee image is oddly positioned. But that's due to the size of the image and can easily be fixed. Other than that, the only flaw is in Monobook and that's the lack of border's on the thumb'd images and that's my fault from when I had minimal CSS knowledge. So really, nothing major is wrong with it. – Jazzi (talk) 11:34, July 16, 2012 (UTC)
