The Yamatami Tribe is a race from Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland. Relatively primitive, the Yamatami seem to be a mixture between the classic depiction of cavemen and jungle warriors. The tribe is led by King Desma, and they make their home on Mount Desma on the Third Continent.

When Tingle visits their homeland, he finds that Uncle Rupee has tricked King Desma into giving up as many Rupees as possible. Tingle defeats Uncle Rupee's monster that is perpetuating this trance, and saves the Yamatami Tribe. Because of this, King Desma orders the construction of a monument dedicated to Tingle, deifying him.
