Windblight Ganon is a recurring Boss in The Legend of Zelda series.[3]

Hyrule Compendium Entry
Windblight Ganon is one of the four Blight Ganons, phantoms of Calamity Ganon that took control of the Divine Beast.[4] It is found either atop the Divine Beast Vah Medoh or in the center of Hyrule Castle if it is not already defeated. Windblight Ganon is responsible for the death of Revali.[5]
Link requires protection from the cold to resist the cold damage during his fight against Windblight Ganon. The battle, taking place atop Divine Beast Vah Medoh, has two main phases. During the first phase, Windblight Ganon will fly and teleport around the area, firing powerful blue energy blasts at Link; Revali warns Link that these attacks are incredibly accurate.[6] It will also fire large tornadoes at Link.
In order to inflict damage against Windblight Ganon, Link can fire Arrows while it is in the air. Link can use one of the many vents in the area to glide up and shoot Windblight Ganon from the air. It will occasionally land on the ground, where Link can use melee Weapons to damage it.
Once Windblight Ganon's hit points have been depleted by half, the second phase of the battle begins. During this phase, Windblight Ganon sends four small objects into the air; these objects all charge one another with blue electricity and fire it at Link. To temporarily disable Windblight Ganon, Link must shoot these objects while they float in the air. If Link hits Windblight Ganon with enough Arrows in quick succession, it will fall to the ground and become vulnerable to other attacks.
Windblight Ganon has 800 hit points in total and explodes when defeated. When it is defeated, Link is rewarded with a Heart Container. After that, Revali's soul appears before Link to thank him for setting him and Vah Medoh free[7] and will grant him Revali's Gale as a reward for his efforts.[8]
Other Appearances[]
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity[]
Windblight Ganon appears in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, filling roughly the same role it did in Breath of the Wild. Unlike its appearance in Breath of the Wild, it now bears a second, larger hand cannon replacing its left hand, and it now has four tubes of Malice connecting its arms to its back. It also sports purple glyphs, signifying its elemental affinity with wind, and has a red eye instead of a blue one.
Windblight Ganon first appears in the "Air and Lighting" Scenario after Calamity Ganon is revived. Windblight Ganon fights with Revali on top of Divine Beast Vah Medoh for the control of the Divine Beast. Before the fatal blow that should have killed Revali is fired, a portal opens, bringing the Rito warrior Teba from 100 years into the future. After Link, Zelda, and their allies have saved Urbosa from Thunderblight Ganon, they arrive on Divine Beast Vah Medoh to assist Revali and Teba, only for Windblight Ganon to retreat. It later reappears to try and stop both Rito warriors while they are destroying enemy camps with Divine Beast Vah Medoh, before it is finally vanquished.
Windblight Ganon, along with the other Blight Ganons, is later revived by Astor using the souls of a number of Yiga Footsoldiers. Astor then uses the Blight Ganons in the "Each Step Like Thunder" Scenario, aiding him in the Siege of Fort Hateno when trying to end the lives of both Link and Zelda. Windblight Ganon, along with the other Blight Ganons, overpower Link while he buys time for Zelda and Impa to escape, but Zelda ends up awakening her powers, temporarily stunning all the Blight Ganons. Windblight Ganon appears again in an attempt to stop the heroes from activating a device made by Purah.
Later, when the heroes lay siege to Hyrule Castle, Windblight Ganon is summoned one final time, along with the other Blight Ganons, to defend Hyrule Castle; however, it is defeated by the heroic forces.
