- "Use the wind god's...wind? That's what he said, but I don't understand. I wonder what it means? The wind god's wind... I wonder if what he's talking about has anything to do with the Wind Shrine that's through that tunnel..."

The "Wind's Requiem" is a song from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. It is the first song that Link learns during his adventure. The "Wind's Requiem" is taught to Link at the Wind Shrine on Dragon Roost Island by the wind deity, Zephos. The melody enabled Link to control the direction in which the wind blows, a much-needed tactic for a number of things, most often sailing. After Link masters the song, Zephos briefly informs him about his brother, Cyclos, who became extremely disgruntled after his plaque in the Wind Shrine became destroyed, while Zephos' plaque remained intact. He then adds that Cyclos can probably be found causing mischief somewhere in the mighty waves of the Great Sea, and that it might be useful to calm him down. His advice proves to be correct, as Link learns the "Ballad of Gales" after a confrontation with Cyclos.
The actual pitches of the notes translate as follows: C, F, A.
