Wart is a mini-boss from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. Wart is a giant eye surrounded by many gelatinous orbs that protect it. It appears in both the third dungeon, Great Bay Temple, and the Secret Shrine. Its design is similar to that of Arrghus from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Additionally, both battles begin similarly to the battle with Queen Gohma in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Upon entering the boss room, nothing will appear to be there, but if one uses the C-buttons to look up at the ceiling, Link meets the gaze of Wart After staring into its eye for a while, Wart will descend and engage Link in battle. To defeat Wart, it is necessary to destroy its protective eyes. To do this, any projectile can be used (Hero's Bow, Hookshot, etc.). Occasionally, Wart will open its eye; if there is a sufficient gap in its protective eyes, Link can shoot it in the eye with a projectile. Fighting Wart as Zora Link can also prove effective (and less time-consuming) as one can aim for the protective eyes clustered in front of Wart's eye when it is open with the double-cutter boomerangs; the fins, while dislodging the protective eyes, will also attack the eye in the process, thus exposing the weak point while damaging it at the same time.
Once Wart has been damaged a certain number of times, the protective eyes will fall off and attack Link, while Wart slides around the room in a rampage. Generally, as its eye is closed much of the time, it will slide around in random patterns. However, it will occasionally open its eye; this is beneficial for both Link and Wart, as it enables Wart to see you (and thus target Link's location), but allows Link to hit its now exposed eye with an arrow. Link can avoid damage by standing in a corner. Wart will hit the corner and bounce off, leaving Link unharmed. Once Wart has been damaged enough, it will explode and Link will be rewarded with the Ice Arrows.
