Short Bio (RL): Tubist, humorist, Larry David wannabe. Music junkie, his favorite band is the Who. Currently pursuing a B.A. in music at Nicholls State University.

Long Bio (Internets):

Smash World Forums

Disco was a late bloomer as far as Internet goes. At the age of 13, in August of 2000, he received a Compaq Presario and a 56k Internet connection. In December of 2001, he registered at the ever-growing Smash World Forums. He spent the better part of a year or two there, and through one of the moderators there, tmw_redcell, was introduced to a fellow by the name of Attrox.

Smash XTreme

Attrox was in the process of building his own Smash Bros. board, Smash XTreme, in a futile attempt to stop SWF's steady rise to power with the release of Super Smash Bros. Melee. Disco won his super moderator powers in a contest requiring a postcount of 300 by a given date. He ruled with a comically iron fist, but mostly did nothing short of locking threads and yelling at people. Alas, SWF was exploding beyond its borders, and SXT was going absolutely nowhere. Attrox decided it was time to try his hand at a better project.

Great Deku Tree

Attrox was also the proprietor of the once-successful Great Deku Tree forums, and decided a revival was in order. A handful of SXTers jumped ship and GDT was refounded. Disco entered as a super moderator, and was later promoted to administrator. It was here that he met User:Fury Three and User:Tempest. For about a year or so, GDT had a decent run thanks to a dedicated staff. However, Attrox began to discover life's two darkest temptations: women and alcohol. He grew embarrassed with his role as administrator of a Zelda forum and so, to keep his project alive while not having to actually be associated with it, he agreed to continue to foot the bills while passing all command of the board to Disco. Analysts still spend sleepless nights trying to figure out why. Save for regular battles with Ian's poet-trolling, Disco didn't really do much and let the board stagnate at an accelerating pace. Something like a month into Disco's rule, Fury and Tempest let him in on the big secret of HTLOZ's reformation. Disco subsequently sent a mass e-mail to all of GDT's membership, announcing the death of GDT and the rebirth of HTLOZ. Attrox is probably somewhere in some Minnesota bar now, and if you ever ask him about GDT he will call the police and file a restraining order against you.

HTLOZ II and Khakain

Disco entered HTLOZ II as one of four administrators. He set the (still intact) record for administrative abuse and staff inactivity. There he remained until December of 2006, when he grew bored with HTLOZ, resigned his executive office, and, at the request of HTLOZ-Khakain ambassador Archdeco, spent three months in meditation within the halls of Khakain. He returned after this time to no particular celebration.

Disco currently remains active in both forums, enjoying dual citizenship. He is also a regular reader of the Something Awful forums and has an account there of the same name, but seldom posts.

Disco's history with the Zelda community has been one of unchecked power and unchecked absurdity, rewarded to him for little to no involvement in the development or progress of the community itself whatsoever. That alone is a testament to the glory of his Internet legacy. Also, I hate you.
