The Wahgo Katta Shrine,[1] designated by the Trial name Metal Connections,[1] is an Ancient Shrine in Breath of the Wild.

Entrance to the Shrine[]

Wahgo Katta Shrine is located northwest of Riverside Stable, along the western bank of Hylia River in Hyrule Field. As Link enters the Ancient Shrine, he is greeted by its Monk, Wahgo Katta.[2]

Themes and Navigation[]

Wahgo Katta Shrine consists of a large, single chamber with a stack of three metallic blocks next to a platform. There is also a metal slab on top of another platform. The Monk's Pedestal is located on a ledge high above the main floor of the Ancient Shrine.

To navigate Wahgo Katta Shrine, Link can use the Magnesis Rune to reposition the blocks so they are stacked beneath the platform with the slab. From here, he can Climb up to the metal slab. With the metal slab available to him, Link can reposition the metal blocks again so they are beneath the platform containing the Monk's Pedestal. He can then place on the edge of the platform, causing one of its ends to tilt down and rest on tops of the blocks. Link will now be able to Climb up to the Monk's Pedestal.

Upon approaching the Monk's Pedestal, Wahgo Katta will present Link with a Spirit Orb for completing the Trial.[3] Following this, the Monk will wish Link well and fade away.[4]

A stone Treasure Chest is located on the top of the platform that the climbable metal blocks rest against. To access it, Link must Climb up the blocks. When the Chest is opened, Link will receive an Amber.
