Venus is a character from Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. She is queen of the Fairies, and resides in the Pond of Happiness at Lake Hylia. When Link approaches the pond, he has the opportunity to throw in 5 or 20 Rupees. Once Link has thrown in 100 or more Rupees, Venus appears and increases the amount of Bombs or Arrows Link can hold by 5. Link can then throw Rupees in at increments of 25 or 50. For every 100 Rupees thrown in, Venus will further upgrade Link's Bombs or Arrows until Link has a maximum of 50 Bombs and 70 Arrows; however, the cave must be exited every time Link receives an upgrade before he will be able to receive another.
