So as you've probably noticed, I haven't updated my game for a very, very long time. The reason for this is that I've hit a brick wall. I know almost everything that goes on the game, including some of the dungeon designs, but this I really, really need help with: the water dungeon (which I have decided to call the Flooded Ruins, for future reference). I can't think of anything, really; the miniboss's appearance, the miniboss strategy, the dungeon item, the boss's second phase (I know I want it to use the dungeon item, but seeing as I don't know what that's going to be...), or even a dungeon map. It would be easy to make a dungeon map (I made the forest and fire dungeon maps pretty much on the spot, which worked pretty well I think), but I have to account for the fact that you have to play through it again as the ice dungeon, in a different way. This means it has to be more creative and dynamic than any other dungeon in the game. Was wondering if you could help me? Some things you should know about it first though.
The Flooded Ruins, as the name implies, is mostly in a state of ruin, and certain things will be inaccesible. I don't want to overdo this, though, because then it'll be obvious that you'll visit in the past or something like that. In the ice dungeon, I'm thinking many bodies of water will be frozen over, so certain passages that were open in the Flooded Ruins will be inaccesible there. The miniboss I want to be a gelatinous blob, but I don't know what it'll be like. The dungeon item needs to be useful in the water, preferably something original but that's not necessary. The boss is a mutated Octorok, so the dungeon item also needs to be able to do something there...underwater, by the way.
On a happier note, however, I've worked out the knight dungeon boss, the earth dungeon miniboss, the undead dungeon miniboss, the undead dungeon prize (which I think is really neat), and the undead dungeon boss (which utilizes the dungeon item quite well, I think).
As you can see, I didn't give full dungeon descriptions, so I don't know much about a map, but I can probably help with the bosses and item.
The mini-boss is a gelatinous blob, right? Well, those aren't very good at fighting. Maybe it could turn into liquid, ooze along the floor, climb to the ceiling and try to fall on Link like Mad Jelly or the Deku Toad. Items to damage it: how about bombs? Link could have to throw a bomb or water bomb inside of it after it lands, and then that would blow it into pieces that could be destroyed with the sword. It's a mini-boss, so it doesn't have to be that hard.
Item, item, item... hmmm, usually Link gets a Hookshot spinoff in the water dungeon, but I know you're saving that for later. Maybe something that can only be used in the water, like Zora Armor or some sort of water-booomerang. Actually, I kind of like that water-boomerang idea. It could also be a water bow.
As for the second boss phase, the Octorok could go underwater and you have to shoot it with the water boomerang, kind of like Gyorg but entirely underwater.
By the way, I'd just like to say I love the water/ice dungeon idea. Reminds me of doing Stone Tower again upside-down, except better. I hope my ideas can help so you can get on to the rest of your game. I really want to know what Infernold is!
Xykeb Zraliv– 10. “Now you are the Tree, and the Tree is you, and the wood is your Soul. With this gift of separation your body shall not wither or die throughout your lessons. But should any Man in the land of Technology interfere with the Tree that is your Soul on the day that is mine, I shall lend to you the power to confront them, and strike them down with fitting vengeance.” TALK– it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts
Alright, I've got a dungeon map. I think it'll work. I especially like it because you go through the ice dungeon in a very different way (you have to, since the boss becomes the miniboss and the miniboss becomes the boss), and to progress through it at all you'll need to remember a certain room from the water dungeon. It may be hard to describe, however.
You know, I might do just that.
Hmmm, I've been thinking about something that allows one to swim against strong currents. I don't know how that'll help against the boss though. I mean, of course I could just put currents in the water while fighting it, but how would one damage it?
To be honest, while the Stone Tower Temple was an inspiration simply because of the alternate perspective ploy, the main dungeon I took inspiration from was the Mermaid's Cave from Oracle of Ages, where you visit it in the past, then the present, then the past again. I also took a bit from the Spirit Temple, although to a much lesser degree because that one doesn't really differ at all between the past and the future. Oh, and Infernold really isn't anything special...in my opinion at least.
How about the Iron Boots? Remember, not all items need to be used to damage the boss. The Hover Boots were entirely useless against Bongo Bongo.
Xykeb Zraliv– 2. And the Prince turned to the Innkeeper’s guest, and he said “You I shall not let live, for once before have I made this warning, and still my Soul aches with what is done to the wood that is my Soul, and I will spare no Man who injures me in this way.” TALK– it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts
I was thinking more just something that allowed him to swim against currents...the Zora Tunic and Iron Boots would be found prior to the dungeon (as they usually are). And I know that it doesn't need to be used to damage the boss; I'm just contemplating, if the dungeon prize doesn't damage the boss, what can? None of the items found up to that point are effective in the water.

Ages first. I've got a whole list of reasons here, but the biggest reason is that the Linked version of Seasons adds a lot more to the game than the Linked version of Ages. Of course, if you want to fully experience the games, you're better off playing a non-linked and Linked version of both, but I'd say non-linked Ages, linked Seasons, non-linked Seasons, and linked Ages. By the way, what are your thoughts on Infernold?
Awesome. Perfect mix of the Moldorm-type boss and the Bongo bongo-type boss. Seems a little tricky for only the second boss, but hey, we could all use a challenge. I also like how you think it's only one worm, but those just turn out to be arms. Reminds me of when Morpheel popped out of the sand in the Lakebed Temple. Before that, I had never considered a foe that size even existing in a video game.

Forget giving the entire dungeon map! Just give a general summary. As for the item, flippers that will let Link swim against currents. Not a replacement for the Zora Armor, just an upgrade. That's my only idea.

Good news, I just completed the trading quest (in my head I mean, I haven't written it all down yet). It's a lot longer than I thought it would be, 20 trades in all (I believe OoT had 11, LA had 14, the Oracles had 13, and MM had a measly 6, so it's more than most other Zelda games). Just like in OoT, it has a bit of focus on the Anju/Grog/Mutoh/Granny situation, mostly from Grog's point of view this time. This is still on the subject of the trading quest but not on Grog anymore, but there's a nice twist near the end.
Also, on a different but still related topic, I now have the water dungeon miniboss, 2nd fire dungeon miniboss, 2nd fire dungeon boss, and ice dungeon boss done. I also have a possible water dungeon item, which may lead to a finished water dungeon boss. It's not really related to water at all but hey, neither was the Clawshot, so whatever. The main thing I'm focusing on now is a wind dungeon item and miniboss. Because the boss is simply the Hero of Time, there's not really any item needed to defeat the boss, so it's all up to what can be useful in the dungeon itself, and I don't really know. I've considered Double Hookshots, but I'm saving that as a last resort. As for the miniboss...I have no clue whatsoever.
Bring back the Spinner. Everyone loved it. Also, you won't kill Grog in this trading quest will you?

When you're creating pages, there are a few things you should remember to do:
In the infobox, shorten the game title. So instead of The Legend of Zelda: Name of Game, put Name of Game'.
Also in the infobox, for the "firstgame" category, put the date of the game's North American release in parentheses. For example, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (1998).
Please remember to add categories. Below the big edit screen, there should be a box where you can add categories. Try to put all the categories that particular thing fits, but at the very least, add the ones for characters/enemies/dungeons/etc. Also, put the game title in front of the characters/enemies/dungeons/etc. For example, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess characters instead of simply Characters. If it appears in more than one game, add categories for all those games.
P.S. Just so you don't freak out, as I know you're kind of an anti-Tingle guy, my Word Bubble is only like this during Halloween. It'll only be like this for one day.

Oh, ok. They will have to be split into separate pages, i.e. "Anton (The Wind Waker)" and "Anton (The Minish Cap)", with the article "Anton" being used as a disambiguation page. When this is done, internal link fixing must also be applied. However, sometimes, it's fine to just keep it as a single article, for characters who are presumed to be the same, for instance Zill.
Unfortunately, these characters are entirely different from their Wind Waker counterparts.

I've run out of inspiration. I really do want to have full descriptions of all the dungeons except the Flooded Ruins/Frostbitten Temple, but I just can't think of anything else to do. I could probably crank out whatever's needed for the rest of the Infested Hive, but after that I'll need to do the Reptilian Lair, and I've got nothing for that. I have half-scripts for the City in the Sky, Vaati's Palace, the Phantom Cave, and Ganon's Tower, but these two dungeons just don't feel as writer-friendly to me. The main thing that makes this hard is that I really, really want to do the optional dungeons but those can only be done after a corresponding past dungeon. I'm especially looking forward to Bulblin Keep, but I can't do that until I finish Reptilian Lair.
Ummm, to be honest I'm not sure why I'm telling you this actually. It's not like you can help me, seeing as you don't do dungeon descriptions. Just an update because I consider you one of the only people I feel comfortable talking about this to I guess? Er, continuing with what I was saying.
With the optional dungeons, I tried to use different kinds of gameplay themes. Rather than just systematically going through the dungeon, the optional ones have noticeable quirks. Bulblin Keep and Sluggula Cavern are my personal favorites. Also, each optional dungeon except Hyrule Castle (past) involves a member of The Group/Resistance. Rusl is involved with Deku Palace, Shad with Bulblin Keep, and Ashei with Sluggula Cavern (none of them actually enter with you except Shad, who is promptly captured).
I also notice I'm referring to dungeons by name even though I haven't told you what exactly they are. I'm kind of rambling here. Anyway, the mandatory dungeons I haven't done yet are (in this order) Reptilian Lair (fire), Frostbitten Temple (ice), City in the Sky (sky/wind), Vaati's Palace (darkness), Phantom Cave (undead), Ganon's Tower (ummm, no real theme in specific, just Ganon's Tower), and Temple of Light (all past themes). Optional dungeons are (in this order) Deku Palace, Bulblin Keep, Sluggula Cavern, and Hyrule Castle (past). I won't tell you what exactly is different about each one.
Miniboss names are Zillafos (Reptilian Lair), Big Octo (Frostbitten Temple), Dark Link (Vaati's Palace), King Bulblin (Phantom Cave), and Phantom Ganon (Ganon's Tower). Some boss names are pending, but they are Gohma (Infested Hive), a dragon (Reptilian Lair), an ice boss that I don't feel like describing at the moment (Frostbitten Temple), Hero of Time (City in the Sky), Vaati (Vaati's Palace), that cloaked guy from the beginning (Phantom Cave), Ganondorf (Ganon's Tower), and Majora (Temple of Light).
Wow um, that was a really long comment. Did I expect you to read all this or what?
I read it all. Here's an idea: think about your favorite dungeons from past games? What layout did they have that made them interesting? Almost every dungeon has some sort of central puzzle. The Forest Temple has defeating the Poes or saving monkeys depending on which game you're talking about. The Fire Temple has rescuing Gorons, the Lakebed Temple has changing the flow of water, Snowpeak Ruins has food-gathering, the Temple of Time has the giant hammer statue and the Stone Tower Temple has the upside-down thing. My advice would be to think of what your favorite central puzzles are, and how you can replicate them without directly stealing the idea. You've done this very well so far (the lava flows in the fire dungeon and the ants in the infested hive). My advice is to think of a clever central puzzle and design the dungeon around that.

I may have missed your "election", but congratulations none-the-less.
Listen listen listen listen... A Link to the Past DOES NOT come that early in the timeline. It goes near the end. Why? A very simple reason. Link gets the Triforce at the end of the game, thus bringing peace and prosperity to Hyrule. Now, because of this there can be no evil in Hyrule after this. In Hyrule. The only two logical games going after it would be LA or OoX. LA because Link could also wish to go to a new land, this being Koholint. Or OoX because he could also wish for another world to go there. Also only these games because they would actually make sense going after A Link to the Past, and they do not take place in Hyrule. Because the Triforce only takes its effects in Hyrule. So it can't go at the beginning. Kapeesh?
You make a good if somewhat threatening point, especially since Ganon died in A Link to the Past and was resurrected in the Oracle games. That still poses the question of when he was locked in the Dark World. It feels like it should hav ebeen in OoT, but that cannot coexist with the story of TWW. Confusing, all of it.
I REALLY like the ideas you´ve got for the Zelda movies, a topic I´ve had in mind for quite some time. While Ian MacKellan is a very good actor, I´d prefer Patrick Steward to do the voice of the King of the Red Lions. And the way you tell the fight between Link and Twinrova is really awesome!!
I´d really like to help you with this, and hopefully share some of my thoughts and ideas with you.

The explanation is now up. You can read it and post a short comment, but there's no room for anything else, so I'll archive it and say that people should see the archive for the answer and explanation.
I have noticed your that you rollbacked the edits made by an IP on the Oocca page. You arn't supposed to do that. If it is not explict vandalism, just remove what they did manually. Rollback is only for vandalism, nothing else, no exceptions.-- C2 / CC 16:20, January 17, 2010 (UTC)

He's already said that he wants Link and Zelda to be unknowns and I personally agree with him. Also, while I'm not big on movie celebrities at all and don't know half the people you mentioned, there is one thing that I feel I have to question...how could Emma Watson play Saria? The point of the Kokiri is that they don't physically age and therefore appear to be quite young. Emma Watson is relatively young but not a child in that sense of the word.

Pie went into more world domination plots, Stars huggled Minish about fifty times, Minish attained the catchphrase "Silence is eerie", I displayed my disproportionate amount of logic, Griff called Hexedmagica over, and Hexedmagica completely destroyed everything with its disturbing ways before leaving us with the wreckage that remained. Fortunately for them, Pie and Minish had already left when Hexed came on and were not scarred for life. Oh and I read some of Stars' fanfiction stuff and she read my Zelda game. Also, Crobats are awesome.

Well, this could get long, and i dont know for sure if im right (and I dont really want to be right on this). Anyway, its with Link to the Past coming between OOT and WW. This was clearly were it was supposed to be put, and the fact that Link probably (as evidenced by dead guys reappearing in the ending) undid the events of the game by use of the triforce. but you see there is one thing that makes a difference. The Triforce is unified. Well as you see, Ganon had his piece. Piece Link had..well im not sure what happened to it with the spilt timeline and all..I suppose it could have ended up back in the sacred realm. But Zelda still had her part. She seemed to pass it down, as evidenced by WW. So how in the world would the triforce of wisdom ended up back in the sacred realm?

When you were creating the pages for the various minor characters from TMC, where were you getting the names from? I just scanned an online text dump ([1]) and I noticed some of your names are off. For example you named the one Carpenter "Max", but here he is clearly named "Mack". Also, there are some characters that may be named different or not named at all, for example "Joe". So, I don't know where these names come from in the text dump, but where did you obtain your names from? The guide or something? and if so, are you sure they are all right?
