Zelda games I've played
Edit
These are in the order that I started playing them. The order I finished playing them is the same except for the fact that I finished Link's Awakening before Twilight Princess.
Ocarina of Time: Completed five times. Most recent playthrough was 100%, but none of the others.
Majora's Mask: Completed nine times, five most recent being 100%. Considered 6-day challenge, haven't followed through yet.
The Wind Waker: Completed six times. Most recent playthrough was 100% (including Figurines), but none of the others.
The Minish Cap: Completed four times, two most recent being 100%.
Twilight Princess: Completed four times, all 100%.
Link's Awakening: Completed five times, two most recent being 100%.
Phantom Hourglass: Completed two times, both of which may as well have been 100% even though I made a big deal out of not getting all the ship parts for god knows what reason.
Adventure of Link: Started game, never continued. Not currently planning to. Ever. And I'd like to stress that very much.
Oracle of Ages: Completed three and a half times (one not linked, one linked, and half return linked), most recent one being 100% except the rings which I insist should not be considered part of 100%. Half playthrough because I started a walkthrough which I have no immediate plans to finish.
Oracle of Seasons: Completed three times (one not linked, two linked), most recent one being 100% except rings.
A Link to the Past: Completed twice. Most recent playthrough was 100%, but not the other one.
Spirit Tracks: Completed once. May as well have been 100% except once again I never got all the train parts. Then again, who cares?
Skyward Sword: Completed once with 100%.
The only games I haven't really played are the original Legend of Zelda, Four Swords, and Four Swords Adventures, which I'm not really interested in playing at the moment. I will probably play the original eventually, however.
Rank of Games
Edit
Ordered from best to worst. As a disclaimer, I have enjoyed all games except Zelda II, and all other games are considered good even if they are low on the list.
- Majora's Mask
- The Wind Waker
- Skyward Sword
- Ocarina of Time
- Twilight Princess
- Oracle of Ages
- Oracle of Seasons
- A Link to the Past
- The Minish Cap
- Link's Awakening
- Spirit Tracks
- Phantom Hourglass
- The Adventure of Link
Currently Playing
Edit
The games I'm currently playing. Games with brackets, i.e. [Wand of Gamelon], are first playthroughs. Games with parentheses, e.g. (Faces of Evil), are on hiatus but are planned to be resumed at some point. Games with malformed brackets ({ and }, whatever they're called), e.g. {Zelda's Adventure}, are postgame and/or scrounging for 100% after completing the story. Any of these may be combined.
Also, the order is very loosely based on frequency of playtime. Because I'm fickle when it comes to which games I focus on at a given time, this is prone to change on a week-to-week (or even day-to-day) basis, so it may not be entirely accurate at the time you read this. Games on hiatus will be arranged in order of the last time they were played, with games more recently played placed above those played a long time ago. Games on hiatus may be removed from the list if I decide that I will probably not finish them.
- Borderlands 2
- {Fire Emblem: Awakening}
- Minecraft
- [(L.A. Noire)]
- [(Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch)]
- [(Shadow of the Colossus)]
- [(Ico)]
Random Opinions
Edit
These are some random opinions I have about the Zelda series. It regards certain issues that Zelda fans talk about a lot (or, in some cases, issues that nobody talks about but me). If you disagree, you can put something on my talk page as long as you stay civil.
- Midna should not be in the next Zelda game. Why not? Well, first off, the Mirror of Twilight was destroyed, so Nintendo would have to come up with some really lame excuse for her to come back. Also, Midna's story has already been told. She goes from being an insensitive anti-hero to a soft-hearted protagonist and if she came back she'd not have a whole lot of capacity for growth. Then again, the series isn't really known for its character development, so meh.
- I don't really find Tingle annoying. Maybe it's just me, but immaturity isn't exactly something that bugs me unless the character is directly manipulating the protagonist, which Tingle doesn't unless you count charging a ridiculous sum as being "manipulative".
- Navi isn't really annoying either. I guess I'm just numb to it or something.
- I really dislike Zant. Let me explain why first. Now, I don't actually mind that he went crazy. Plenty of villains do. But with Zant, it was too sudden and too forced. There were no scenes of him gradually going crazy, not even five seconds of him going "NO YOU HAVE RUINED ALL MY PLANS GAAAAAA". He just has a personality in the first half of the game and has another personality dumped on him in the other half. I mean, what's the point? Seems an awful lot to me that Nintendo wanted a cool and calculating villain and an insane villain and then one guy was all like "hey what if we made the cool villain go insane, that'll work perfectly". Doesn't fit right for me.
- It is, if not totally sensible, perfectly plausible for the Zoras to have evolved into Ritos. I don't see what's so hard about this. Yes, it's kind of weird for fish to evolve into birds, but aren't scientists theorizing about dinosaurs evolving into birds? People also say that it makes no sense for a water-based race to disappear after the world is flooded. I don't understand this either, because it makes perfect sense. Hyrulean Zora(s) are freshwater creatures (yes, the ones in Majora's Mask and Oracle of Ages live in the ocean, but those are entirely different worlds; the Gorons also live in a wildlife-filled mountain rather than a volcano and the Deku live in a swamp rather than a forest in MM). The Great Sea is saltwater. Things that live in freshwater oftentimes cannot adapt to saltwater, and vice versa. I mean, if the world was flooded, would alligators feel at home? No, they live in freshwater. It very well could be the same situation here.
- The Hyrule Historia is garbage. That is all.
Superlatables
Edit
Zelda II will not be counted because while I can say it's my least favorite Zelda game in a general sense, it would be unfair to judge any of its specific criteria considering I've played almost none of the game. For this reason, Phantom Hourglass fits into pretty much all the worst categories.

Things I find annoying
Edit
As the name implies, this is a list of things in the Legend of Zelda series that I find annoying (in no particular order):
Adventure of Link
Edit
- Er....everything?
A Link to the Past
Edit
- Buzzblobs
- The fact that seemingly every enemy does at least a whole heart of damage
- Deadrocks
Link's Awakening
Edit
- The fight with Moldorm - I swear I fell into that pit at least 10 times.
- The fact that people will call you THIEF if you steal from the shop
- Buzzblobs
- Wizzrobes
- The soldier at Kanalet Castle that attacks you from the pits
Ocarina of Time
Edit
- The whole "stealth" thing in the Gerudo's Fortress
- Moblins
- Wallmasters
- Bubbles
- Bottom of the Well
- Gold Skulltula sidequest
- Big Poes
Majora's Mask
Edit
- The fight with Twinmold
- Wallmasters
- Beneath The Well
- Gyorg's tendency to swallow you before you even get a chance to escape to the platform after attacking it
- Dampé's walking speed
Oracle of Ages
Edit
- Buzzblobs
- Head Thwomp
Oracle of Seasons
Edit
- Buzzblobs
- Agahnim
- Manhandla
The Wind Waker
Edit
- Floormasters
- The Wind Temple
The Minish Cap
Edit
- The random chance Figurine system
- Gyorg Pair
- Substitional Kinstone fusions
Twilight Princess
Edit
- Beth
- Falbi
- Those 3 girls that produce hearts after you play Purlo's game
- Agitha
- Staltroops
- Agitha's sidequest
- Imp Poe sidequest
- More Pieces of Heart per Heart Container = more Pieces of Heart. More Pieces of Heart = more secret areas. More secret areas = more searching. More searching = less actual game time. Less actual game time = less fun.
- Rollgoal
- Goat Herding
Phantom Hourglass
Edit
- Rupoors
- Having to find Courage Gems
- Having to find Power Gems
- Having to find Wisdom Gems
- Various mini-games
- Fishing
Spirit Tracks
Edit
- Rabbits
- Armored Trains
- Having to blow into the microphone on a regular basis
Skyward Sword
Edit
- Dodoh
- Fledge
- Peatrice
- The poor implementation of quicksand
- Spumes
- The Imprisoned
- The fact that you can hold up to 9900 rupees...and the most expensive item in the game is worth 1600. What.
- Rickety Coaster
- Quadro Babas
- The fact that they tease you with Clawshot symbols all over the place but most of the other items have almost no overworld application whatsoever
Overall
Edit
- Nintendo has no respect for arthropods, continuing to mislabel them over and over. Let's take a look, shall we?
- In several games, Gohma has six legs but one body part. Nothing fits that description.
- Queen Gohma is labeled as an arachnid despite having three legs.
- Twinmold is labeled as an insect despite obviously being a centipede/millipede.
- Mothula has no legs in ALttP and OoS.
- Spiny "Beetles" look so much more like turtles it's not even funny.
- Snails are considered bugs in TP when they're obviously not.
- Agitha herself, a supposed bug fanatic, seems to believe that snails are bugs.
- On the subject of Agitha, does Nintendo have something against people that like bugs or something? They all come across as shut-in freaks of nature. Even Strich, who I thought was an okay character, was a little creepy.
- Beetles have four legs and one body part.
- In OoT and MM, Skulltulas, Skullwalltulas, and Gold Skulltulas have flat legs.
- Stagnox, based on a stag beetle, has four legs.
- Tektites, based on spiders, have four legs and one body part.
- Rocktites have four legs and one body part as well.
Things I find nonsensical
Edit
This is a list of things that I find to be nonsensical concerning the series and would like solved. I generally try to go for less obvious questions if only because the other ones have been asked to death. Questions that are striked out are ones that I've been given a satisfying answer to.
Oh, and if you've seen other people doing this, I'd like to point out that I started this trend. My pride is just overwhelming.
- How can the Gibdos be so incredibly stupid as to think that Link is one of them simply because his face looks like one of their faces?
- Why does the race with the Running Man in Ocarina of Time even exist?
- How does King Bulblin survive getting knocked off of 2 very high bridges?
- Who was so incredibly bored as to think up "Tingle! Tingle! Kooloo-Limpah!"?
- How can we hear Link screaming when he jumps in lava in Twilight Princess even when his mouth is already submerged?
Why does Link need the Kafei's Mask to ask where Kafei is?- How did Goht get frozen?
- How does the Postman get to the end of the Cave of Ordeals?
Why does Link play the guitar right-handed in Zora form?- Why does Ganondorf use another Phantom Ganon in The Wind Waker when the one in Ocarina of Time failed so badly and was declared useless?
How do people learn anything from something like "!*nh5"?- How does Ralph know about the secret passage in the castle?
- Why does Lulu allow Deku Scrubs to set up businesses in her room, even after she gets her voice back?
- Why does the Postman need to draw a curtain in front of him when all he's doing is putting on his hat and backpack?
- Why do we always see the guard looking at the Rosa Sisters when they dance?
Why doesn't the sun block near the Ancient Castle of Ikana automatically disappear from the natural sunlight?- Why would Gillian date a fish? x_x
- Why does the Forest Temple from Ocarina of Time have so many undead enemies?
- Why does Tarin want to poke a beehive with a stick?
- What kind of parent would name their child "Guru-Guru"?
- How does Link see through Kamaro's Mask?
Why is Sahasrahla found so far away from the village where he apparently lives?- Why are there four eyes in the Vitreous fight that never do anything at all?
- Why does Spirit Tracks feature bunnies living in the ocean?
- Why are the clouds in Skyward Sword just a giant mass that never parts or turns into rain, but somehow lets sunlight through to the Surface?
- Since most Ancient Robots clearly perceive their surroundings as being from their own time period, wouldn't they perceive the activated Timeshift Stone in their vicinity as displaying something from an even further past? Or since they clearly don't, would they simply see the activated Timeshift Stone as being an unactivated one?
- On a similar topic, if Ancient Flowers can be taken out of a Timeshift Stone's vicinity and stay intact, why can't anything else?
Also, if you can think of a reason why one or more of these makes sense, or if you simply want to discuss them, please do so on my talk page, not here.

Stuff I've made (or thought about making). Quick disclaimer: Games I've Played is the only one worth checking out. Everything else is abandoned or is otherwise complete garbage.
- Games I've Played: A list of all the games in my collection.
- Reviews: A place where reviews would go, if I had any reviews that I felt were worth keeping.
- Majora's Mask Walkthrough: A 100% walkthrough of Majora's Mask I made. Currently a mess. Overhaul was considered, but then I went inactive and now the whole thing sucks. So there you have it.
- Top Ten: What would be a top ten if it actually had any content to speak of.
- My Zelda Game: Fanfiction game I made a long time ago. Could've been cool was but was ruined by lack of imagination when it comes to filler content. Also, I never completed it, so none of the actually interesting parts were ever recorded.
- Oracle of Ages Walkthrough: The second walkthrough I attempted. I was planning to do a walkthrough on Oracle of Seasons afterward, but it turns out I never finished this one up anyway. Not sure if I'm even going to in the end. (If I did it would need to be revised to be of actual quality.)
- Why Oracle of Ages Comes First: A list of reasons why it makes more sense for Oracle of Ages to come before Oracle of Seasons. I'm not really sure why I made this, but I still stick by what I said on that page.
