I am Xykeb Zraliv, also known as Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv and Xykeb the Freak. Also, due to the lazy human nature of abbreviating, I am often called "XZ" and "XYZ". I am an admin here on Zeldapedia, as well as on the Banjo-Kazooie Wiki.
I am obsessed with grammar, and I greatly dislike chatspeak and anything else that purposefully applies improper grammar, though I will generally tolerate it if necessary. I am known for the fact that I obsess over small things with no way to stop me.
[edit] Zelda games I've played
These are in the order that I started playing them (not necessarily in the order I finished them).
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
The only games I haven't really played are the original Legend of Zelda, Four Swords, and Four Swords Adventures, which I'm not really interested in playing.
[edit] Game Status
This is where I post where I am in the Zelda games I own.
Ocarina of Time: I've completed this game 4 times, none of which have been 100%. I am now planning to play it for the 5th time, which will be either be a 92% (not all Gold Skulltulas and not all Big Poes, but everything else) or a 92.5% (not all Gold Skulltulas, but everything else) completion.
Majora's Mask: I've completed this game 8 times, the most recent 4 being 100% completion playthroughs. I also wrote a walkthrough, which you can find here. I plan to eventually try out the 6-day challenge, maybe attempt the 3-heart challenge at the same time.
The Wind Waker: I've completed this game 5 times (including 2 second quest playthroughs), but never 100%. I'm going to replay it again eventually, but not yet. I want that playthrough to be 100%.
The Minish Cap: I played this game twice, and I probably won't replay it for a while. And I'll probably never complete it 100%.
Twilight Princess: I've completed this game three times, all three being 100% completion (I was aided by a strategy guide however, since the game is way too massive for me to complete 100% on my own).
Link's Awakening: I've completed this three times, none of which have been 100% completions, but I might think about doing a 100% completion someday if I get bored.
Phantom Hourglass: I've played this 2 times, one time being a 91% completion (I got every item in the game except about 3/5 of the Ship Parts). In my second playthrough, I got a perfect 25 minutes remaining in the Temple of the Ocean King and I'm trying to get every Ship Part so I can truly complete the game 100%. I haven't done this in a while due to getting tired of going through the Temple of the Ocean King over and over again (never thought you'd hear me say that, eh? Well, yeah, even if I have the patience to go through it 5 times, it gets kinda wearing after going through it 35 times or so), but I'll probably resume eventually.
Adventure of Link: Apparently a friend of mine had the GBA version of Adventure of Link, so I borrowed it just so I could see if it's really as bad as people say it is. Well, I recently discovered that it is. I'm positive I'm not going to have the patience to finish this game.
Oracle of Ages: Completed a non-linked version of this game once, which was about 85.75% or so. I then did a linked version, which was 91.5% (not all rings and no Boomerang, but everything else). I am now playing the game on return linking while simultaneously writing a walkthrough on the game.
Oracle of Seasons: Completed a linked version of this game once, which was 92% (not all rings, but everything else). I then did a non-linked version, also 92%.
A Link to the Past: I've completed this game once, which was roughly 86%. I may work on 100% eventually.
[edit] Currently Playing
The games I'm currently playing.

- Majora's Mask

- Oracle of Ages
- Oracle of Seasons
- A Link to the Past
- The Minish Cap

[edit] Random facts about me
- I know 135 digits of Pi: 3.141592653589793238462643383279502884197169399375105820974944592307816406286208998628034825342117067982148086513282306647093844609550582.
- I can pronounce the word "Hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliaphobia".
- I can read all 7 Harry Potter books in 5 days.
- I am also a fan of the Fire Emblem, Super Smash Bros., Banjo-Kazooie, Animal Crossing, and Pikmin series.
- When I drink too much water, I twitch uncontrollably for some unknown reason.
- I believe that, if ants were sentient, they would take over the world (I'm not joking; I seriously believe this).
- I also think that bees, wasps, and cockroaches would have a decent chance of ruling the world if they were sentient. However, the ants beat them all.
- While ants could rule the word if they were sentient, they are in fact some of the least likely animals to actually become sentient due to their extremely rigid social structure.
- I believe in the Infinite Monkey Theorem.
- I find it kind of funny that some people don't get that the Infinite Monkey Theorem is a metaphor and think that we're morons that don't understand the nature of monkeys.
- The only pets I've ever had have been insects or arachnids.
- I have restless leg syndrome, minor insomnia, extreme paranoia, severe anxiety, and obsessive compulsive disorder.
- It surprises me that nobody ever asked me where my username came from before I brought it up.
- I've wished I was left-handed since I was 10 (thanks for rubbing it in, Oni Dark Link).
- I am a natural pessimist.
- My Brawl friend code is 0517-6698-9960, if you ever want to play with me. I'd say I'm of moderate skill and I usually use Meta Knight, although I'm also good with Falco, Fox, Samus, and Ness.
[edit] Random Opinions
These are some random opinions I have about the Zelda series that I want to share with people. It regards certain issues that Zelda fans talk about a lot (or, in some cases, issues that nobody talks about but me). If you disagree, you can put something on my talk page as long as you stay civil.
- Midna should not be in the next Zelda game. Why not? Well, first off, the Mirror of Twilight was destroyed, so Nintendo would have to come up with some really lame excuse for her to come back. Also, Midna's story has already been told. She goes from being an insensitive anti-hero to a protagonist that is implied to have a crush on Link. If she came back, there would be no anti-hero, just what she is at the end of Twilight Princess. I never did like the way she looked in her real form, either.
- I don't like the direction the handheld/adult timeline/Toon Link games are going. I mean, trains? Yeah, it seems like it'll be plenty of fun, but...seriously, how are those invented yet? Don't the Zelda games take place in medieval times? Or have I been mistaken all these years?
- I think that Oracle of Ages is better than Oracle of Seasons. They were both fantastic, but I prefer Ages.
- Tingle is not annoying, in my opinion. I never had a problem with him. I mean, the only thing "wrong" with him is that he's really immature. That's not annoying. If anything, it's sad.
- Navi isn't annoying either. Yeah, she interrupts you for no reason, but what companion character doesn't? (Other than Midna, of course.) I'm just used to it, I suppose.
- The Legend of Zelda series should NEVER feature Link in a romantic relationship with somebody else. I don't mind implied love interests like Midna or Ilia, but if anything actually happened, that would ruin the entire game for me, seriously.
- I really dislike Zant. Lemme explain why first. Now, I don't actually mind that he went crazy. Plenty of villains do. But with Zant, it was too sudden and too forced. There were no scenes of him gradually going crazy, not even a scene of him going "NO YOU HAVE RUINED ALL MY PLANS GAAAAAA". He just has a personality in the first half of the game and has another personality dumped on him in the other half. I mean, what's the point? Seems an awful lot to me that Nintendo wanted a cool and calculating villain and an insane villain and then one guy was all like "hey what if we made the cool villain go insane, that'll work perfectly". Doesn't fit right for me.
[edit] Superlatables
[edit] Things I hope to be able to do eventually
In no particular order.
- Complete Ocarina of Time 100% (depends on if I can find all the Gold Skulltulas and Big Poes; otherwise I think I could do this)
- Defeat Dark Link without using Din's Fire, Biggoron's Sword, or the Megaton Hammer (possible but unlikely given my skill)
- Do the Majora's Mask 3-day challenge (I can do this, just a matter of when I feel like it)
- Complete a Zelda game doing the 3-heart challenge (maybe)
- Obtain every Ship Part in Phantom Hourglass (I'm pretty close already, so I can do this one)
- Obtain every ring in the Oracle games (not going to happen ever)
[edit] Most overrated things
These are the things that are, in my opinion, the 3 most overrated things in the Zelda universe.
- Ocarina of Time: The game was great, but flawless? Please.
- Stallord: I actually thought the Staltroops were annoying and the fight really wasn't that fun for me.
- Kafei and Anju sidequest: It's not as complicated as people make it sound, in my opinion.
[edit] Most underrated things
These are the things that are, in my opinion, the 3 most underrated things in the Zelda universe.
- Navi: People sure beat up on Navi, don't they? Honestly, she's not THAT annoying. Every time I play Ocarina of Time I try to see it from that point of view and see Navi as annoying, and every time I fail.
- Temple of the Ocean King: Maybe I'm just more patient with my video games than most people, but I just did not find this place to be at all tedious. Besides, if I can go through this place 30 or so times (I do this to get the ship parts strewn around the place - I've noticed that there is a remarkably high chance of getting a Golden Ship Part in one of the last two chests (which is not to say there's a high chance; just there's a higher chance than getting it from, say, a minigame)) and not be annoyed, how can you say that you're annoyed from going through it 5 or 6 times?
- Wind Waker bosses: Sure, they were too easy, but not everything has to be challenging to be fun. I thoroughly enjoyed every single boss fight in Wind Waker.
[edit] Things I find annoying
As the name implies, this is a list of things in the Legend of Zelda series that I find annoying (in no particular order):
[edit] Adventure of Link
[edit] A Link to the Past
- Buzzblobs
- The fact that seemingly every enemy does at least a whole heart of damage
- Deadrocks
[edit] Link's Awakening
- The fight with Moldorm - I swear I fell into that pit at least 10 times.
- The fact that people will call you THIEF if you steal from the shop
- Buzzblobs
- Wizzrobes
- The soldier at Kanalet Castle that attacks you from the pits
[edit] Ocarina of Time
- The whole "stealth" thing in the Gerudo's Fortress
- Moblins
- Wallmasters
- Bubbles
- Bottom of the Well
- Gold Skulltula sidequest
[edit] Majora's Mask
- The fight with Twinmold
- Having to start over if you run out of time
- The whole "stealth" thing in the Pirate's Fortress (I later learned that the Stone Mask makes it easier to do this, so it's no longer a problem)
- Wallmasters
- Beneath The Well
- Gyorg's tendency to swallow you before you get a chance to escape to the platform after attacking it
- Dampe's walking speed
[edit] Oracle of Ages
[edit] Oracle of Seasons
- Buzzblobs
- Agahnim
- Manhandla
[edit] The Wind Waker
- Floormasters
- The Wind Temple
[edit] The Minish Cap
- The random chance Figurine system
- Gyorg Pair
- The entire concept of Kinstone Fusion
- Having to fight the 3 Darknuts in the end with a time limit
[edit] Twilight Princess
- Beth
- Falbi
- Those 3 girls that produce hearts after you play Purlo's game
- Agitha
- Staltroops
- Agitha's sidequest
- Imp Poe sidequest
- More Pieces of Heart per Heart Container = more Pieces of Heart. More Pieces of Heart = more secret areas. More secret areas = more searching. More searching = less actual game time. Less actual game time = less fun.
- Rollgoal
- Goat Herding
[edit] Phantom Hourglass
- Rupoors
- Having to find Courage Gems
- Having to find Power Gems
- Having to find Wisdom Gems
- Various minigames
- Fishing
- The fact that whether or not you get the items from the Masked Man depends entirely on luck
[edit] Overall
- Nintendo has no respect for arthropods, continuing to mislabel them over and over. Let's take a look, shall we?
- In several games, Gohma has six legs but one body part. Nothing fits that description.
- Queen Gohma is labeled as an arachnid despite having three legs.
- Twinmold is labeled as an insect despite obviously being a centipede/millipede.
- Mothula has no legs in ALttP and OoS.
- Spiny "Beetles" look so much more like turtles it's not even funny.
- Snails are considered bugs in TP when they're obviously not.
- Agitha, a supposed bug fanatic, seems to believe that snails are bugs herself.
- Beetles have four legs and one body part.
- In OoT and MM, Skulltulas, Skullwalltulas, and Gold Skulltulas have flat legs.

[edit] Theories I believe
- The Hero's Shade is the Hero of Time.
- Link was looking for Navi in the beginning of Majora's Mask.
- The Stone Tower Temple was created to insult the Godesses.
- Link can talk, he just has no in-game dialogue. This is quite clearly illustrated when Midna tells Link to say something at the end of the game; this heavily implies that Link is in the habit of saying things.
- Deku Link (as in the soul Link inhabits when he wears the Deku Mask, not Link himself), the Deku Butler's Son, and the small deformed tree at the the beginning of Majora's Mask are all the same character.
- Bongo Bongo is the man whose house used to be where the Kakariko well is. Additionally, that man was a Sheikah.
- Dark Link is on his own and has no ties to Ganondorf.
- The Kokiri evolved into the Koroks and the Zora(s) evolved into the Rito.
- The Spirit Temple became the Arbiter's Grounds.
- Death Mountain became Dragon Roost Island.
- The Mirror of Twilight is the mirror that appeared in the Spirit Temple of Ocarina of Time.
- The Skull Kid from Majora's Mask is the one from Ocarina of Time.
- Oracle of Ages comes before Oracle of Seasons. Ok, this one I wouldn't classify as a theory per se, but it's something I believe. I know that in terms of an official timeline, neither game comes first, but just from a technical standpoint, I think it makes more sense. See this to see why.
- The Keaton Mask Soldier is the Boy in the Graveyard's father.
[edit] Theories I do NOT believe
Note that I am only going to do popular theories. That means than any little idea that you've come up with is not significant to me if you're the only person that believes it.
- The Twili are somehow connected to the race that used Majora's Mask. I don't know what it is about this theory, it just doesn't really seem to fit. One thing I've heard is that Majora's Mask's eyes are identical to the eye on the Fused Shadow; I compared the two and I think that's ridiculous. Besides, that doesn't really say much; I'm sure that, even if they really were identical, Nintendo was just reusing certain designs. Nothing to get excited about.
- Link and Zelda are in love. I haven't really seen any significant implications of this, and anybody that's trying to make out some romance between them is looking for people to pair up. Either that, or they've been reading too much into the "heroic knight marries beautiful princess" stereotype.
- The postman talked about in Koboli's figurine is a postman in another Zelda game. I mean, one postman is in Termina, which an entirely different world. One is in Labrynna, which is also in a different world. Another is in Twilight Princess, which takes place in a different timeline. And the last one is in Minish Cap, which comes after Wind Waker, according to the timeline I believe. And besides, even if Minish Cap comes before Wind Waker (unlikely though possible), it was made after, which makes it unlikely that Nintendo was talking about this postman. This does not, of course, mean that I believe Nintendo intended it to be meaningless. I suspect they put it in there as a cameo of sorts, but didn't think too much about whether or not it really made sense.
- Kaebora Gaebora is Rauru. I actually don't see any huge difficulties with this theory, I just personally don't think it's true.
- Volvagia is female. Ok, this one I actually know is incorrect. Link of the Gorons talks about him, referring to him as 'he': "That dragon was very scary! He ate Gorons!"
- The Man from the Curiosity Shop and the man from the Trading Post are the same person. I could make a compelling case for this, but I don't really feel like it.
- Jolene is a Gerudo. The only real implications I've seen of this are that she has brown skin (which proves absolutely nothing....we see quite clearly in Wind Waker with the contrast of skin color of Tetra/Zelda that being a pirate tans your skin quite a bit) and that she fights like a Gerudo (which I personally think is just Nintendo reusing a fighting style, as is the nature of Nintendo). Also, she has black hair, and all confirmed Gerudo in the series have red hair. Sure, she might have some Hylian blood in her, but....seriously. Nintendo isn't one to think things out like that. If it's a Gerudo, they'll give it all the symptoms of being Gerudo. That's part of Nintendo's cameo-creating nature.
- Telma is a Gerudo. Similar reasons as above, only the implication is that she has red hair, not brown skin.
- Jabun is Jabu-Jabu. Easily one of the weakest theories out there. They look nothing alike, they're quite clearly entirely different species, and the only things that support this are that they're both water deities (right.........) and a Prima guide says that they are (Prima guides are chock full of incorrect and/or non-canonical info).
- The Crenel Hermit is a Blade Brother. I'm sorry, I know I said I wouldn't do stuff that only one person believed, but there are so many bad memories I have about this theory.....please don't ask.
Remember, these are theories I do NOT believe. If you think that any of these are true and you want to discuss it with me, you can do so on my talk page.
[edit] Things I'd like solved
This is a list of things that I find to be nonsensical concerning the series and would like solved. Oh, and if you've seen other people doing this, let me just say...I started this trend.
- How can the Gibdos be so incredibly stupid as to think that Link is one of them simply because his face looks like one of their faces?
- Why does the race with the Running Man in Ocarina of Time even exist?
- How does King Bulblin survive getting knocked off of 2 very high bridges?
- Who was so incredibly bored as to think up "Tingle! Tingle! Kooloo-Limpah!"?
- How can we hear Link screaming when he jumps in lava in Twilight Princess even when his mouth is already submerged?
- Why does Link need the Kafei's Mask to ask where Kafei is?
- How did Goht get frozen?
- How does the Postman get to the end of the Cave of Ordeals?
- Why does Link play the guitar right-handed in Zora form?
- Why does Ganondorf use another Phantom Ganon in The Wind Waker when the one in Ocarina of Time failed so badly and was declared useless?
- How do people learn anything from something like "!*nh5"?
- How does Ralph know about the secret passage in the castle?
- Why does Lulu allow Deku Scrubs to set up businesses in her room, even after she gets her voice back?
- Why does the Postman need to draw a curtain in front of him when all he's doing is putting on his hat and backpack?
- Why do we always see the guard looking at the Rosa Sisters when they dance?
Why doesn't the sun block near the Ancient Castle of Ikana automatically disappear from the natural sunlight?
- Why would Gillian date a fish? X_X
- Why does the Forest Temple from Ocarina of Time have so many undead enemies?
- Why does Tarin want to poke a beehive with a stick?
- What kind of parent would name their child "Guru-Guru"?
- How does Link see through Kamaro's Mask?
Why is Sahasrahla found so far away from the village where he apparently lives?
- Why are there four eyes in the Vitreous fight that never do anything at all?
Of course, this is skipping over the obvious ones, like "How can skeletons be alive?" or "How can the Deku be sentient?", since everybody asks those questions and the extremely obvious answer to all of them is that the land is filled with magic or whatever and skeletons can be a alive if they want to be. Of course, in Stallord's case, it's alive because Zant stuck a magical stick through its head.
Also, if you can think of a reason why one or more of these makes sense, or if you simply want to discuss them, please do so on my talk page, not here. By the way, that one about "Tingle! Tingle! Kooloo-Limpah!" is indeed a joke. I don't expect a serious answer to it.
[edit] Personal pages
These are the things I've made on this wiki.
- Reviews: Self explanatory; this is where I review some games.
- Majora's Mask Walkthrough: This is where I wrote up a walkthrough describing how to get through Majora's Mask 100% in a very productive path. This serves as both a self-memo to myself for future replays of this game and a walkthrough to anybody looking to complete Majora's Mask 100%.
- Top Ten: Self explanatory; this is my top ten for various categories. It has been remade from the original mess that it once was.
- Rants: Self explanatory; this is where I rant about things that have been bothering me.
- My Zelda Game: My very own fanfiction Zelda game that I've decided to write down. It's currently just a very, very rough imprint of what it is in my mind (it's hard to describe some of the settings without sounding stupid, ok?) but whatever. Maybe it'll get better.
- Games I've Played: A list of all the games in my collection, for the people wondering.
- Oracle of Ages Walkthrough: My second walkthrough, for Oracle of Ages, my favorite 2D Zelda game and 5th favorite Zelda game overall. My plan is to do a walkthrough of Oracle of Seasons afterward as well.
- Why Oracle of Ages Comes First: A list of reasons why it makes more sense for Oracle of Agest to come before Oracle of Seasons.
- Game Villain Tournament: A ripoff of Metroidhunter32's Game Character Tournament, but with villains instead of heroes.
- The New New Zelda: A continuation of Baltro's The New Zelda story/game.
