New Hyrule Timeline
Edit
Well, actually the New Hyrule Timeline encompasses many theories at once. It also shows the Split Ganondorf theory, the Where are they now? The Four Sword Links theory, and the Twilight realm of Evil theory. Then I add a new theory all together found directly under the NHT.
Ocarina of time Link was born. He saved the world, went seven years back in time and got lost in Termina. Ganondorf escaped and Link did not come again, just like the legend. Hyrule was flooded A few good Hyruleans escaped their flooded land. The Kokiri group kept a seed from the new deku tree. The planted it in forest haven and became koroks. The human and Hylian group populated the mountaintop area that was now reduced to islands. The Wind Waker events took place. Phantom Hourglass took place. They found the new Hyrule, with a volcano that was similar to Death Mountain, and named it after it. They found a maar that was similar to Lake Hylia and named it after it. They found some of the landmarks that were correspondent to the old Hyrule. Twilight Princess took place. The Oracles took place in an parallel dimension. Link to the Past took place in the only place something could fit: on the other half of the split timeline. Ganondorf was sealed and that timeline was passed over. There was a tectonic cataclysm and shifted the terrain of Hyrule and ALttP took place. Then another cataclysm occurred and the Four Swords stuff took place. Then The Minish Cap. Then BOOM! The Split Timeline could no longer exist and both timelines merged themselves together! The huge energetic explosion shifted time and space and warped reality. Then we see some Deus ex Machina* whether Nintendo knew it or not. Since the first two Legend of Zelda games were released first, you can see how this makes sense. The first two games took place in the new dimension created out of the very fabric of the original split Hyrule! Now, Ganondorf was the same person in OoT, TP, and Wind Waker. Strange, but he was in both halves of the split timeline, and was defeated in one. Where's the child timeline Ganondorf? He simply waited. At the best moment possible, (when Link died) he attacked Hyrule and the Great Flood took place. Then Wind Waker Ganondorf was created from the same one from the adult timeline. On to Twilight Princess. Ganondorf waited for WW Ganondorf to try fulfill his duty, then he waited again. The Twilight Realm is the realm of evil in which Ganondorf was trapped. The twili were sent there as punishment too, so yeah. That helps me a lot because if it's an alternate dimension, It doesn't have to be part of OoT Hyrule. Ganondorf found Zant in The Twilight Realm. Obvious. So with Zant's help, Ganondorf escaped. This explains why he didn't attack during PH because Zant was born later than that. Ganondorf tried to take over New Hyrule, failed, did a really bad death pose, and said: "Do not think this is over. The history of light and shadow will be written in blood!" the Triforce of Power leaves him, he dies for good. The End of that.
Perhaps Zelda Wii will use a new Ganondorf. OoA and OoS did. They are alternate dimensions and don't overlap Hyrule like Termina does. Therefore they are not included in my theory.
Remember this always: OoT Hyrule and TP Hyrule are completely different!!!
Miyamato Did No Planning Whatsoever and Thus the Timeline is Void Theory
Edit
In this very existentialist look on the timeline, Miyamato did no planning. He just tried to make references to other games and his timeline is very flawed. Therefore the timeline is useless and we should just stop worrying about it and play the games without trying to link them to others. However, I don't like this theory. It makes me sad, and it somehow brings Tingle joy. If Tingle's happy, I'm unhappy.
- Latin for God out of a Machine this phrase refers to an unlikely or impossible event to occur in order to untangle a plot at which there seems no other way to end it. In Zelda, it is that Link's Awakening is actually a dream, and there could be others in this sense.

If you have any comments, like why you think this is correct/incorrect, then put them right here. Please use proper grammer and spelling.
