from Zeldapedia, the Legend of Zelda wiki
'Ello, mates. As you can see from my userpage, I plan to make movies of Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess and Wind Waker (and maybe Majora's Mask) when I am a famous director (which I will be). I thought I should post some of my ideas for the movies here. If anyone has any suggestions to make it better, just leave a message on the discussion page.
Remember, not all movies can be Peter Jackson-length. For this reason, some things must be cut from the script. I will try to do this without taking away any of the original game, but if you think I could do better, just leave a message.

[edit] Ocarina of Time
- To start, I would remove the element of traveling back in time. This is definitely a big part to cut, but I feel it is necessary to avoid irritating paradoxes that anger moviegoers. Link will receive the Lens of Truth and meet Nabooru in the future.
- After being trapped in the Sacred Realm for seven years, Link will receive training from Sheik and Impa in Kakariko Village. To avoid long training montages that should take years but take a few days, the main goal of the training is to activate the Triforce of Courage within Link. After enough training, it will awaken and give Link fighting ability that would normally take years to learn. He will still continue to fine-tune his training at various points further on in the movie, but once the Triforce piece activates he begins his quest for the Sages.
- Impa tells Link that Zelda is dead.
- Sheik gives Link the Zora Tunic when he discovers Zora's Domain has frozen over. No Iron Boots.
- Now this might anger some people, but I'm cutting out Morpha. This is to make Dark Link the main boss of the Water Temple. Let's face it, he's much more memorable, and adding yet another long boss fight in this part of the movue would make it too long. Ruto will also help to defeat Dark Link, but Link will land the final blow.
- After the Fire Temple is completed, Biggoron begins forging Biggoron's Sword as a reward. Link loses the Master Sword to Bongo Bongo during the monster's escape from the well, and climbs Death Mountain to receive his new sword. The Master Sword is given to Twinrova, and Link takes it back after defeating them.
- Shadow Temple comes before Spirit Temple.
- Kakariko Well is much smaller, home to only Dead Hand.
- While going through the Shadow Temple, Link finds Impa sickly and dying after trying to kill Bongo Bongo. She could not see it as she did not have the Lens of Truth. After Link kills Bongo Bongo, she is taken to the Chamber of the Sages and is healed.
- After Link gets caught looking for his sword in Gerudo's Fortress, Nabooru tells the Gerudo Guards to hand him over to her. She brings him to the Spirit Temple and tells him about her plan to betray Ganondorf. she then gives Link the Mirror Shield, which has magical properties. After a few days of living in the Spirit Temple, Nabooru is captured by Twinrova. Sheik appears and tells Link that Nabooru is one of the Sages. Link then ventures into the deeper parts of the Spirit Temple to confront Twinrova.
- A scene will be added where Ganondorf is discussing Link with Koume and Kotake. The witches say he should be found and killed instantly, but Ganondorf advises them to wait, saying that Zelda will only show herself if Link sticks around.
- After Link defeats Nabooru in her Iron Knuckle costume, Koume and Kotake will become furious and decide to disobey Ganondorf's orders and kill Link. After a long battle with the Mirror Shield, they try and use the stolen Master Sword on Link. They can't use it, being evil, and they are blasted across the room by a shockwave. Link takes back his sword and kills them.
- In the final battle, Ganondorf shoots energy balls at Link. After one deflection and a hit from a Light Arrow, he has a swordfight with Link. He then "dies," makes the tower fall, and becomes Ganon.
- After Link returns to the past, a scene will occur where he talks to Zelda, followed by a scene showing Ganondorf being captured by Hyrulean Soldiers.
[edit] Twilight Princess
- This will be the second movie instead of the third, as one might suspect. This is because I want Wind Waker to come last. As this is definitely the longest of the 3-D games, the most will have to be cut.
- The opening sequence where Link rescues Talo and the monkey will be cut.
- All of the Shadow Insects will be located in one central "hive" for every province. This will make it so there is less time for Link to wander around looking for them. In Lanayru Province, only the Twilit Bloat will be fought.
- Ooccoo will explain to Link how to wield the Clawshot and Spinner. She will say that her race invented them.
- Zant will show signs of insanity when he sics Stallord on Link and Midna, so as to not make the transformation so sudden.
- The Dominion Rod simply does not make statues mimic Link's moves exactly, just generally follow him.
- The Ancient Sky Book will be complete when Link gets it, removing the need for him to hunt down the missing letters.
- Shad will come with Link to the City in the Sky. I'm adding this in because I always felt so sad when I had to make Shad walk away from his lifetime ambition just so I could play the hero. In this movie, Shad will get what he so richly deserves!
- Zant's death and the weird scene with him breaking his neck will either be cut or explained, as well as why the Triforce of Power left Ganondorf.
[edit] The Wind Waker
- This movie comes last, given its post-Hyrule setting and general feel of finality.
- The movie will not be animated, but it will have somewhat brighter colors.
- Link has been trained in swordsmanship by Orca prior to his adventure. This will make scenes where Link fights Darknuts more believable.
- Tingle will be portrayed as much more sinister than his in-game self. After he translates the Triforce Chart, it will be discovered that he is keeping fairies imprisoned inside Tingle Tower. He steals one from Link on a previous visit, and then uses it to lead him to a fairy fountain. After his discovery, Tingle is tied to a balloon and sent floating away.
- There will only be one Triforce Chart, located in the Savage Labyrinth. The Labyrinth has been changed to a cave on Outset Island where Ganondorf's minions are searching for the Chart. However, the room concealing the chart is guarded by a statue that can only be destroyed with light from the Mirror Shield. Link, Orca and Link the Pig work together to enter the cave and defeat the monsters. However, Orca will die while helping Link escape.
- Ganondorf will go into more depth about his past.
- A scene after the credits will show Tingle managing to grab onto the bell at the top of the Tower of the Gods. He uses this oppurtunity to free himself from the balloon. Looking to find a way down, he descends into the top room of the Tower. The goddesses speak to him, and then Gohdan activates...
[edit] Majora's Mask
- I'm not entirely sure if I'd make this one at all. Despite my absolute love for this game, it doesn't quite fit into the main storyline of the series. Still, if I feel I can't survive without this movie being made, then this is what will happem:
- The whole thing will take place in roughly two weeks in stead of three days, and there will only be one cycle. Before you get angry, remember that in a movie you want all the loose ends to be tied up. So, if there were mutliple cycles, Link would end up having to do everything in the last cycle anyway. So, just one.
- The only sidequests that will be kept in are Anju/Kafei, Romani Ranch, the Postman, and possibly Gorman.
- The Happy Mask Salesman will play a large role. He will also be shown in a bit more of a creepy light. The masks on his backpack will be hinted to have come from dead people after playing the Song of Healing.
- The Gerudo Pirates only ever see Link in his Zora form. After he robs their fortress, they follow him to Pinnacle Rock. There is a short battle, and the pirate ship is destroyed by the Sea Snakes. The Pirates are seen with a different ship when they try to enter the Great Bay Temple.
- Link travels to Ikana with Kafei. They stay in Dampe's house as Link goes off to investigate the Stone Tower and Kafei plans his heist of Sakon's Hideout.
- The Ikana section of the story will be changed slightly. Link will get most of the information on the region after defeating Keeta in the graveyard. Keeta will give Link the Captain's Hat, so Link can safely walk around the village at night. He will then get some more information from Sakon. In an abandoned house in the village, Link will defeat a Garo Robe. The Garo will tell him that the river has dried up because Flat has turned evil and imprisoned his brother beneath the graveyard. The rest of the region's story is basically the same.
- Before going to the Stone Tower, Link and Kafei will invade Sakon's hideout. After the Sun Mask is retrieved and Link defeats Sakon in a short fight, the thief gets scared and runs out into the canyon at night. A group of Stalchildren mistake him for an enemy combatant. They grab him and carry him, screaming, into Ikana Castle.
- Tingle will not be in it.
[edit] Casting
- Link's got to be an unknown in every movie. It would mess things up if Shia Labeouf played him. Same goes for Zelda. Also, it would be a different actor in every movie.
- Ganondorf- Jack Nicholson
- King of Red Lions- Ian McKellan
- Zant- Jim Carrey. I don't really like Jim Carrey but he can definitely play a crazy guy.
