The Town of Rauru, also known simply as Rauru, is a location from Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. This town is located in northwestern Hyrule, just to the southeast of the North Palace.
When Link visits the town, he meets an Old Man who teaches him the Shield Spell. This is the only instance where Link does not have to complete any sort of side-quest in order to gain access to the Old Man's house.

The town of Rauru shares a name with Rauru, one of the Seven Sages from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
