The Touching Book is a quest item from The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages. It is a sad novel owned by Dekadin. Link tells him the Comedian's Funny Joke to try and cheer him up, and though Dekadin is not amused, he is glad that Link put forth the effort, and gives Link his Touching Book as thanks.

The book is later taken by Maple, Syrup's apprentice. The next time Maple bumps into Link, he drops the book; she reads it and bursts into tears, leaving a Magic Oar behind. This is part of the quest for the Noble Sword.
