[edit] Biography
Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.
To help celebrate the Carnival of Time, The Indigo-Gos were booked to play at the Milk Bar. However, when Lulu's eggs were stolen by the Gerudo Pirates, she lost her voice and they were forced to cancel their show. Mikau went after the eggs, but was fatally injured, left to die in the waters of Great Bay.
Link discovers the dying Mikau on the Great Bay Coast, and drags him to shore, but it is already too late. Link plays the "Song of Healing" to heal his soul, allowing him to depart from the world of Termina, creating the Zora Mask, which Link uses to transform into Mikau at any given time. Link retrieves the Zora Eggs and restores Lulu's voice by playing the song her newborn babies teach him, the "New Wave Bossa Nova."
In the end credits, The Indigo-Gos are shown playing the song that Mikau and Japas wrote. Interestingly, Link appears to be playing with them in his Zora form, in place of Mikau.
Interestingly, before Link heals Lulu's voice he can vist many of the band members. Each of them are playing songs from past Zelda games in their rooms.
Spoiler warning: Spoilers end here.
[edit] Etymology
The name "The Indigo-Gos" is a portmanteau of Indigo, the color, and the real life band The Go-Gos.
