The Temple Remains is a location from The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons. The former grounds of the Temple of Seasons, they were left in ruins after the temple sunk into the subterranean country of Subrosia. The Temple Ruins are located in central north Holodrum, east of Onox's Castle, and west of Goron Mountain.
The Temple Remains are a dangerous place, patrolled by Darknuts, Lynels, and Tektites. The absence of the Temple of Seasons leaves parts of the area completely impassable, blocked off by boulders. The rest is difficult to traverse, requiring repeated season changes to cross it. Long lines of pits can only be crossed in fall, when they are filled with leaves. High ledges can be accessed via snowdrifts in the winter, vines in the summer, and launching flowers in the spring.
There exists a portal to Subrosia in the southwestern portion of the Temple Remains. After traveling through it, Link appears near the Subrosian Volcanoes. Inside the cave just below the volcanoes is a Subrosian, who is throwing Boomerangs, Shovels, Heart Containers, and other valuable items into a lava pit, in an attempt to cause an eruption. After Link throws a bomb into the lava pit, the three volcanoes begin erupting, spewing large amounts of lava above to the Temple Remains, making them more passable. At the very top of the Temple Remains, inside a room of the temple that survived both the sinking and the eruption, Link finds another portal to Subrosia that deposits him three screens south of the Sword & Shield Maze, the eighth and final dungeon in the game.
