The Telescope is an item from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. The Telescope is Aryll's prized possession, lent to Link for the entirety of his birthday at the start of the game. Despite this, Link keeps the Telescope for the rest of the game, due to Aryll's kidnapping. After rescuing her, Link receives a message giving him permission to keep it for a little while longer. It provides a significantly clearer image than that of the naked eye, making it a useful item on the large Great Sea, where it is often best to see foes from afar. While optional, the Telescope must be used once during the beginning of the game.

Upon receiving it, Link must use the telescope to eye Quill, the postman jumping up and down, looking at something apparently interesting in the sky. Upon further inspection, Link sees that he is watching the Helmaroc King being attacked by Tetra's Pirates, as Tetra herself is in the grasp of the Helmaroc King's talons. The Helmaroc King is hit in the face by a cannonball and drops Tetra in the forest at the top of Outset Island.

Bokoblins that operate platforms across the Great Sea are often seen carrying Telescopes of their own, identical to Link's Telescope.
