That Red Bird/Crest
Edit
no one raely knows whether or not it is a eagle. Now that Skyward Sword is out, could we call it a "posible Loftwing (crimson)" enyone...enyone...(buler)...enyone. DekuSpenstar (talk) 02:07, November 30, 2011 (UTC)
- The article said "The Hyrule Royal crest" in it. Then a few lines down it talks about an eagle out of the blue. I fixed the inconsistency. We can't say for sure if it's a loftwing or not, so we shouldn't include it in our article when it's perfectly fine as is. Scathee

- Considering Lanayru made it for Link, I personally assumed he put the design of Link's Loftwing on it. And how did he know about the Loftwing? Well, he looks into Link's memories for the Lightning Round...Evnyofdeath 05:30, November 30, 2011 (UTC)
- I think that is entirly possible. If its canon that Link gets that sheild, then at the end when Link and Zelda stay on the surface, eventually when Hyrule is made the sheild could have been used as a templet and then the possible Loftwing on the shield could in time have been confused for a different type of bird. --SuperMario2 (talk) 19:04, December 1, 2011 (UTC)
- It's an interesting idea for sure, but unless we're assuming that Link's Loftwing itself was based on the Hylian Crest during the production of SS (which I guess is kind of plausible), it's hard to figure that it was intentional on the designers' part. The best one can hope for is a theory on the subject. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 19:20, December 1, 2011 (UTC)

This does seem quite likely but of course definitively stating it at the start of the article can't really be done. It isn't really big enough to fit into a full theory section either. I think a brief mention of the possibility in the Skyward Sword section might suit best. Oni Dark Link 19:48, December 1, 2011 (UTC)
Majora's Mask?
Edit
Yeah I'm 100% sure the Hylian Shield is in Majora's Mask. Why is it not even mentioned in the article? Scathee
