Hello, Hylian King

I'm new to this wiki, but I have experience on other wikis in Spanish, I come from Mexico, so excuse my English. But I'm willing to help in any way I can, if they need a Spanish name, I have to me. -- Carlos A A S (talk) 04:11, 30 November 2013 (UTC)

That's good to hear! Foreign names are probably the wiki's biggest on-going project, so we could definitely use your help. :) — Hylian King [*] 06:24, 30 November 2013 (UTC)
Ok :). Another thing here is something like the Wiki Activity, but not resienstes changes -- Carlos A A S (talk) 16:45, 30 November 2013 (UTC)
Unfortunately no, that function is exclusive to Wikia. — Hylian King [*] 09:53, 1 December 2013 (UTC)
Ok, so the recent changes served. --Carlos A A S (talk) 16:39, 1 December 2013 (UTC)

Ancient Stone Tablets dungeons articles

How should I do Levels 3, 7 and 8? I'm thinking to put the info for Level 3 in the Thieve's Town article, as it's based on it, but for Level 7 I'm not sure. Should I put it in the Ice Palace article, because of it's features, or in the graveyard article, as that's where the dungeon is? --Mariofan5000 (talk) 16:47, 31 August 2013 (UTC)

I'm not at all familiar with the game, but at a glance I would suggest separate articles for all of them except Level 1 and 6. Unless the dungeons strikingly resemble the places in ALttP, they should have separate articles. For example, Level 2 in AST may be located at the same place as the Waterfall of Wishing in ALttP, but besides that the two locations have nothing in common. On that note, I would also have recommended a separate article for the Swords of Ancient Stone Tablets, as opposed to just throwing them in with the ALttP swords.
Again, I've never actually played the game, so it would be good to get a second opinion from someone that has. Fizzle hasn't been active lately but you can try dropping him a line if you want.
By the way, I've noticed you've been uploading files with uppercase file extensions. Please try to keep them lowercase instead (.png instead of .PNG) as per our image policy. You can rewrite the file's extension to lowercase in the "destination filename" field of the upload form.
Thank you for contributing to Zelda Wiki! — Hylian King [*] 18:30, 31 August 2013 (UTC)

Hey, Hylian King. I have a question.

I'm new here at this Wiki. Could I have a few tips from you? :) -CP409 (talk)

Sure! Did you have anything specific in mind?
If you're just looking for general advice, the help guide is the best place to start learning the ropes. (I skipped over reading it when I started editing here and regretted it afterwards. :P) The Getting Started page in particular will be helpful if this is your first wiki. After that, the Quality Standards is the next most important one as it deals with Zelda Wiki policies and conventions.
If you're looking for ways to help out at the wiki, Castle Town is a good place to start (the "helpful tip" there is also pretty essential to editing at Zelda Wiki). You can also find a list of articles that need attention here. If images are your thing, then be sure to take a look at Image Requests.
Also, I see you've already made a custom signature. Very nice! Just one thing: seeing as there's HTML coding in it, it would be much appreciated if you could use method two of signature-making instead.
That's about all I can think of at the moment... I know I just threw a lot at you, so if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask me or any of the other active staff. We're here to help! — Hylian King [*] 18:51, 31 August 2013 (UTC)
That's everything I needed! Thanks. I also used Method Two. -CP409 (talk)
Awesome! You made a little mistake here but I took care of it for ya. ;)
Also, the div tags were causing unsightly line breaks so I changed it to span. It's basically the same. Hope you don't mind! Not sure how much you know about inline CSS but if you want to change the space between the green border and the text, that's the padding property. The first number (2px) is the top and bottom padding, and the second (9px) is left and right. The bigger the number, the bigger the space. If you use four values instead of two—for example, 2px 3px 4px 5px—that's the top, right, bottom, and left padding, respectively (it goes clockwise). — Hylian King [*] 21:54, 31 August 2013 (UTC)

A problem I've been having

Hey, I came to you about this problem i'm having since you seem to be helpful and kind. I have been trying to edit the Floor Spikes article for the past few days to include a new image I uploaded here:

http://zeldawiki.org/File:FloorSpikesWW.png

However, any time I try to edit that article or include my image in any other article, I get a "503 Service Unavailable" error. This seems to just happen with this. Any way you could help me fix this? -- Kidbuu4ever (talk) 22:34, 8 September 2013 (UTC)

That's strange. Reuploading doesn't seem to help, so I'll bring it to Justin's attention. Server error fixing is more his forte. If you run into similar errors in the future, your best bet would be to talk page Justin. I assure you he is kind and helpful as well—as are the rest of the staff, for that matter! Thanks for the compliment, though. :) — Hylian King [*] 18:23, 9 September 2013 (UTC)
Ah alright, I'll report things like that to him in the future if I can. Thanks for the help, I appreciate it! -- Kidbuu4ever (talk) 10:37, 10 September 2013 (UTC)
No problem! Thank you for clearing out the image requests!
On that note, I thought you might be interested in these cheat codes. They remove the HUD so you can get clearer screenshots:
All codes are for NTSC. The OoT one makes the game a bit wacky and the interface won't come back on until you restart. The TWW one's incomplete but you can turn it off and on. The MM one works perfect but doesn't remove the clock. You can make it disappear temporarily if you take out the Ocarina and put it away (it reappears the moment you move). You can also get rid of it permanently with the fourth day glitch.
If you'd rather not use the codes, that's fine; just go on doing what you've been doing. Just thought I'd let you know they existed. :) — Hylian King [*] 12:16, 10 September 2013 (UTC)
I'll add it to my (again) growing list. These errors, I swear...
By the way, I don't bite, so feel free to let me know of any server problems you find. Fixing those is my job around these parts. :PUser:Justin/sig 18:10, 10 September 2013 (UTC)
Awesome, thank you both! I'll be sure to use those codes when I can, I appreciate the help -- Kidbuu4ever (talk) 23:11, 11 September 2013 (UTC)

Project Hylian Creed

Hello Hylian King, I am Tim. I am the last day start with a petition on Change.org and a webpage on Facebook, I call this action Project Hylian Creed. For more clearly about this, for the webpage on Facebook, you can click here and for the petition on Change.org itself, you can click here. Anyway, I want to ask you for your help with this. Multiple edits

Hello! I noticed you've been making a lot of edits to the same page over a short time. Doing this puts a large strain on our server and clogs up the recent changes. So instead of saving a lot, use the "show preview" button next to the "save page" button. It'll allow you to view your edit for any mistakes so you don't have to make a lot of fixing edits or additional ones! :) Just thought you might need a reminder. :PUser:Justin/sig 13:27, 6 October 2013 (UTC)

Dark Rites

My thanks for your input on the trivia/theory for the Goddesses, etc. Given that the idea does not meet theory policy, I'm simply going to drop it, it's been too much drama already and I'm not that dedicated to getting it noted. My apologies for any trouble I've caused. Drake Clawfang (talk) 18:14, 25 October 2013 (UTC)

Contacting People

I reeeaaallly don't feel like making a Skype account and using it to chat, are there any alternatives like IRC? I don't see any mentioned around here, so I dunno :/ PPLToast (talk) 14:05, 28 October 2013 (UTC)

There is only the Skype chats at time being, I'm afraid. — Hylian King [*] 14:32, 28 October 2013 (UTC)
Aww, that sucks. Oh well :( PPLToast (talk) 14:45, 28 October 2013 (UTC)

Changing name

Hello, you wouldn't happen to know how to change names on this wiki? I ask because it depends on the site (for ex. MarioWiki has an official page for it, whereas other wikis just need you to ask)??? Also, you wouldn't have a "purge" button or anything similar?--Xanthium (talk) 19:54, 4 November 2013 (UTC)

You only need to ask an admin. What would you like to change your name to?
And yes, there is. The purge button is in the top right corner, in the dropdown menu to the left of the search bar (hover over the little downwards arrow to open the menu). There's also the keyboard shortcut Alt+0. — Hylian King [*] 01:31, 5 November 2013 (UTC)
I want to change it to the name I always use in wikis, Iggy Koopa Jr. Thank you in advance. --Xanthium (talk) 06:54, 5 November 2013 (UTC)
De rien! :) — Hylian King [*] 09:13, 5 November 2013 (UTC)
How did you know I'm French? And thanks for the name change! --Iggy Koopa Jr (talk) 14:52, 5 November 2013 (UTC)
No problem!
I checked your userpage on other wikis to make sure I had the name right. I kinda had a feeling you were francophone since most of your contributions here are regarding French names. Thanks for that, by the way. Foreign names are probably the wiki's biggest on-going project; help is much appreciated! — Hylian King [*] 06:04, 6 November 2013 (UTC)

Another Name Change Request?

Hey, I wasn't aware that you guys could do name changes, would it be alright if I could possibly change mine? When I signed up ages ago I used my old E-Mail address name and I didn't pay attention to the distinction between that and the username. If it's possible could my username be changed to Bwar? I would appreciate it if it's not too much trouble. - Kidbuu4ever (talk) 18:29, 9 November 2013 (UTC)

No problem! I'll get to it right now.
Just keep in mind that you've been Kidbuu for a while, so people won't recognize you at first. — Hylian King [*] 03:00, 10 November 2013 (UTC)
Ah that's fine, my editing is more important either way. It'll eventually be recognized on it's own. Thanks, I appreciate it! - Bwar (talk) 01:47, 12 November 2013 (UTC)

My edit in Myths of The Legend of Zelda Series

Dear Hylian King, I have make a edit in article Myths of The Legend of Zelda Series for a detail of the HD version of The Wind Waker. Only, I am not sure whether the text is good enough. I want to ask you to check it, you can adapt if that is necessary. Tim Auke Kools (talk) 10:09, 12 November 2013 (UTC)

I will take a look at it personally if you like, but keep in mind that all edits are checked by a patroller or an admin anyway. — Hylian King [*] 10:48, 12 November 2013 (UTC)

Thieves' Hideout and Thieves' Town should be a different page

Hello, Hylian King! Sorry for disturbing but recently I discovered a paradox regarding one of the dungeons in A Link Between Worlds. I just created a new page for the boss Stalbind, but when I hit the link to the Thieves' Hideout dungeon, it redirects me to Thieves' Town, which is a dungeon in A Link to the Past. My concern is, we should create a disambiguation page for the following:

  • Thieves' Town (A Link Between Worlds): The town in Lorule
  • Thieves' Hideout: The dungeon in Thieves' Town
  • Thieves' Town (A Link to the Past): The dungeon in the Village of Outcasts
  • Village of Outcasts: The town in the Dark World

We can mix both Thieves' Town pages into one, but I think Thieve's Hideout needs its own page. What do you think? --Net34a (talk) 06:08, 29 November 2013 (UTC)

I've responded on the Thieves' Town talk page, but please wait another day or two anyway. It's important to give others the chance to weigh in. Just because I'm an admin doesn't mean that whatever I say goes. :P — Hylian King [*] 07:52, 29 November 2013 (UTC)
Thank you very much! Ok, I'll wait then! Meanwhile I'll be contribuiting in some pages! --Net34a (talk) 07:55, 29 November 2013 (UTC)

iOS Web App Icon

Okay, so I tried to send this message over Skype, but it's being a pain. My apologies for when this reaches you twice.
Anyway, something occurred to me: I think the Wiki needs a Home screen icon for iOS and Android devices. I've created these icons that can be added to the source code of the Wiki so when an iOS or Android (I think) user adds the site to their home menu, they get an attractive icon with the Wiki's logo rather than a screenshot of the main page. There are four files for the different resolutions of Apple's phones and tablets but the end result looks like this. What do you think?

To add these icons to the website, the following code needs to be added:

<link rel="apple-touch-icon" href="touch-icon-iphone-precomposed.png"> <link rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="76x76" href="touch-icon-ipad-precomposed.png"> <link rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="120x120" href="touch-icon-iphone-retina-precomposed.png"> <link rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="152x152" href="touch-icon-ipad-retina-precomposed.png">

Just like the favicon, the images have to be uploaded somewhere on the Wiki first. I've also made them so iOS 6 and under won't add an ugly gloss effect to them and so the image will appear correctly on both iOS 6 and iOS 7 app icon sizes. Is this something you'd be interested in? SuperSonicConzor (talk) 16:44, 3 December 2013 (UTC)

Awesome! I'll see if I can add them to the wiki when I have the chance.
Thanks! — Hylian King [*] 14:07, 5 December 2013 (UTC)
Done. Looks great on the iPhone 4S (iOS 7). Would you happen to have an Android or iOS device to test it on?
FYI, I believe the correct size for "touch-icon-iphone-precomposed.png" is 60x60 (unless I'm mistaken), so I went ahead and scaled it down to that. And you're right, apple-touch-icon does also work for Android but apparently they're dropping support soon (see here). I made a 196x196 copy for Android and added it using <link rel="shortcut icon" sizes="196x196" href="imagename.png">.
Cheers! — Hylian King [*] 12:22, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
I dunno if I can post here or not, but I really like those Home screen icons. (Looks good on iPad iOS6) Thanks SSC and HK :) PPLToast (talk) 13:15, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
Great Job, Hylian King! I was delighted to see the icon on my homescreen this morning! It looks fantastic on my iPhone 5, iOS 7, but for some reason it's showing the old Apple gloss on my iPod Touch (4G), iOS 6. Unless that was desired, I thought adding "precomposed" to the filename cancelled it out on all iOS 6-and-under devices. To me, the gloss looks a bit outdated, but if nothing can be done about it, it won't matter too much. What do you think?
(And no problem, PPLToast!) SuperSonicConzor (talk) 22:45, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
Turns out you have to add "-precomposed" to the "rel" attribute; the filename doesn't really matter. Let me know if it still isn't working. — Hylian King [*] 09:04, 10 December 2013 (UTC)
The iOS 6 gloss is gone! It's working perfectly now. SuperSonicConzor (talk) 14:41, 10 December 2013 (UTC)

Question

Hi Hylian King. It's me, Krystal. I just wanted to ask what you think of the Family Tree on my userpage. My bro made it with a lot of effort, and he has been asking around what others think of it, and he has asked me to do the same. --Krystal (talk) 21:34, 7 December 2013 (UTC)

I'm not really interested in non-canon stuff, so perhaps I'm not the best person to ask.
It is quite elaborate, though. — Hylian King [*] 12:17, 9 December 2013 (UTC)

Alright, but please dont call it non canon, that makes me and my bro both very upset. --Krystal (talk) 15:44, 9 December 2013 (UTC)

I'm very sorry to butt in on this, but from every angle, it is indisputably non-canonical. That doesn't necessarily mean it's bad, so there should be no reason to be upset, but given that you use information and pictures not found within Nintendo/Zelda canon, it automatically becomes a fan-work, which is by definition non-canon. He doesn't mean to insult it by any means. - TonyT S C 21:06, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
The family tree gives no respect towards the timeline. Characters from later chronologically are giving birth to characters that lived before them, and characters are given parents from alternate timelines. If you wanted to at least be plausible, you would have to make sure the family tree goes in chronological order. Some of the images are for the wrong character, like Navi and Ciela. Also there appear to be non-canon characters on the tree, such as Lance. If you fixed all of those mistakes, it would be significantly better, although it would still be non-canon, as all fan works are. Champion of Nayru (talk) 21:20, 9 December 2013 (UTC)

Timeline? Seriously? We are not obligvated to believe/accept that there is an official timeline, just because some Japanese guy says so. Miyamoto and Aonuma may make the games, but that doesnt give them any more power over the canon than fans have. If you want to give them the power to control what you believe, be my guest, just don't shove it down the throats of those who dont agree with you. --Krystal (talk) 22:07, 9 December 2013 (UTC)

Actually, yes we are. Their word is, to make reference to TV Tropes, "Word of God." They are what control the canon, and without them, you wouldn't have anything to base your family tree on, regardless of however much liberty you've taken. Fans really do not have any canonicity whatsoever, hence the dichotomy between "canon" and "fanon." Believing otherwise is rather delusional.
Regardless, this entire wiki is based upon their canon, so this really isn't the place to avoid having the canon "shoved down your throat," as you say. Yes, you are free to believe what you wish, but that does not mean what you believe is right. Equally, don't expect people who follow canon to agree with you or accept your thoughts.
In any case, this discussion has outlived its relevance (and I'm sure Hylian King doesn't appreciate us arguing on his talk page), so I recommend that we cease this discussion. There's zero point in continuing any farther than we have. - TonyT S C 22:25, 9 December 2013 (UTC)

The Timeline Nintendo uses is NOT a canon timeline. There is no canon timeline to Legend of Zelda. Their timeline is basically their own timeline theory. That's it. There is no denial here. Zelda fans who think the developer's timeline is 'canon' are the ones in denial. Or rather they're glad to have an excuse to feel superior to everyone else. If you're one of those Zelda fans, don't talk to me. --Krystal (talk) 23:33, 9 December 2013 (UTC)

Please do not add any more to this discussion. - TonyT S C 00:19, 10 December 2013 (UTC)

Throne Room

Just alerting you now about this issue. A Link Between Worlds very explicitly labels the final boss arena as a seperate dungeon called "Throne Room", with its own Dungeon Map and Hylian text and everything. I've had to revert mistaken corrections on this multiple times, with people pointing to the Prima guide or otherwise. Please keep an eye on this, and help explain the issue to anyone who's having trouble understanding it.KrytenKoro (talk) 03:47, 10 December 2013 (UTC)

Yeah, please deal with this now because he is edit warring even after I pointed directly to the source for him.KrytenKoro (talk) 03:56, 10 December 2013 (UTC)
I will deal with the edit warring, but explaining your viewpoint is not the staff's responsibility. It is especially not mine, as I have not played the game. (It's nothing personal, I just think it's wrong to act solely on another person's word.)
If you would explain the issue on the talk page, I would gladly direct other users to it and discourage reversions until the matter is resolved. — Hylian King [*] 04:14, 10 December 2013 (UTC)
I'm not asking you to explain my viewpoint; apologies if it sounded like I was. I had provided the official source when first splitting the page, and people were ignoring it, so I didn't know how to address that other than contacting staff or edit warring (obviously bad).KrytenKoro (talk) 15:02, 10 December 2013 (UTC)
I see. All is well, then. — Hylian King [*] 01:55, 11 December 2013 (UTC)

Possible sockpuppets

Ghirahim87 appears to have created additional accounts to create the illusion of consensus:

  • TheLink7
  • Totoofze47

As far as I've seen, they've only edited on pages where consensus was against him. Can you look into this?KrytenKoro (talk) 22:36, 12 December 2013 (UTC)

with all due respect man, i don't know what the heck you're talking about. i simply said i did not think you handled the situation with the guy well, and i am trying to find a reasonable compromise for the article you were fighting over because i just don't think you have good reasons to keep them separate, and it looks like i am not alone in that. i even calmly asked you on your own talk page about this, and you've done nothing but attack me as someone else entirely, and i honestly don't appreciate it. and for the record, i don't even know what "sockpuppeting" is. TheLink7 (talk) 22:55, 12 December 2013 (UTC)
Case in point.KrytenKoro (talk) 23:08, 12 December 2013 (UTC)
hylian king, i'm asking you to tell krytenkoro to leave me alone and to stop harassing me. that's all i ask. to krytenkoro: if you are actually interested in working together, i'd like to. TheLink7 (talk) 23:20, 12 December 2013 (UTC)

Harassment/Incivility

hello sir, i am a new user to the wiki, just joined today in fact. i was reading some of the more recent edits and simply commented, in a respectful way, that i didn't think that some users handled an argument well and the two have been verbally attacking me, reverting a compromise i tried to broker on a couple of articles, and are accusing me of being someone else entirely. i am writing to ask that you tell them to leave me alone if they cannot conduct themselves civilly and in a friendly manner. i have tried to be nothing but calm, civil and rational with them. the two users are User:KrytenKoro and User:Vaati The Wind Demon. all i said to them was my comments on some race debate about rosso and the fact that i felt there were better ways to handle arguments with other users than how the argument exploded. TheLink7 (talk) 23:04, 12 December 2013 (UTC)

Actually, yeah, HK, could you look into these discussions? They're getting off-topic with the accusations of harassment and "egg on face" and such, and we would appreciate someone putting it in order.KrytenKoro (talk) 23:08, 12 December 2013 (UTC)
i'd appreciate if you would stop accusing me of being someone i'm not sir, and quite frankly you've been nothing but inhospitable to me simply because i said you could've handled your arguments with the guy better than you did with constructive criticism. i think your bullying of me is uncalled for, and quite frankly i'm a little tired of it. i would like an admin to do something about it if you are not going to be reasonable, whether that be hylian king or another admin. TheLink7 (talk) 23:11, 12 December 2013 (UTC)
I'm with KrytenKoro on this, I've had enough and I'm not wasting my time on this anymore and the issue has gone on long enough and it doesn't need to be extended any more than it already has been. I know the Admins will do what's right and I stand by there decisions anytime! --Vaati The Wind Demon (talk) 23:14, 12 December 2013 (UTC)
i am asking the admins to inform you to leave me alone if you are not going to edit or negotiate in good faith. the two of you keep trying to associate me with someone i've no idea who he is. but i stand by my original assertion: neither of you handled things well there, and if this is any indication, it doesn't seem it was the first time or the first person you've done this with. i simply wanted to help broker a compromise on the page you were all fighting about and said that i think there's better ways to deal with people than the way you guys did with him and vice versa. but if you two are going to keep harassing me rather than work with me, i'm asking the admins to tell you to back off me. TheLink7 (talk) 23:17, 12 December 2013 (UTC)

Lorule Castle/Throne Room

hello sir, i am sorry to bother you with so much on my first day, but aside from the unpleasant business with the members i reported to you, i wanted to ask you, yourself: do you really feel it's justified to have a whole separate article for the lorule castle throne room? we don't get a new dungeon map or new item, we just face the boss there as far as i can recall, and i noticed a couple of other people didn't seem to think it was warranted to have two separate articles for it, so i thought i'd ask you or rather an admin in general about it. i made mention that each new floor of the hyrule castle in alttp has a new title appear at the top and the map changes too, but i don't think that justifies a new article for every floor of the tower. do you understand what i mean?

secondly, i attempted to forge a compromise measure by merging the two articles but keeping all content, instead creating a whole new subsection on the lorule castle page for the throne room and what happens there. User:KrytenKoro reverted everything i did and has since been accusing me of something called "sockpuppeting" that i don't even know what it is. could you perhaps look into this and see what you think? just me personally, i don't think two pages are warranted and it looks kinda goofy to me, but it's whatever. i just think it looks goofy and the reasoning doesn't seem sound to keep them apart, and i noticed i am not alone in that thought. can you bring some resolution to this? i attempted to, but it seems some users are more interested in trying to project their anger at another user on me than to calmly discuss possible changes. i would appreciate this. cheers! TheLink7 (talk) 23:29, 12 December 2013 (UTC)

As I've stated earlier, on the page and on your talk page, it is an utter falsehood to claim that we "don't get a new dungeon map" (and you don't get items in the first three dungeons, either). I would appreciate it if you'd stop repeating that lie.KrytenKoro (talk) 23:41, 12 December 2013 (UTC)
begging your pardon sir, but i didn't ask you. i am asking hylian king what he thinks. i just don't understand your reasoning for this, and it seems others don't either. so i am asking hylian king what he thinks, and i will thank you to let me converse with him about it apart from you since we have already been talking on other pages together. i intend this to be for hylian king though, not you, no offense intended. i just want his opinion here. I'm perfectly fine with that, but I'm not going to let you lie to him to try and sway him to "your side". State your case, fine, but be honest.KrytenKoro (talk) 23:54, 12 December 2013 (UTC)
good god, you have trust issues man. i am not "lying" or "trying to sway someone to my side" or what not. if anything, it seems like you've been trying to do that yourself, with your attempts to tie me to someone else entirely different. i have been nothing but honest, and i'll thank you to stay out of it unless bidden here. i am simply asking hylian king's opinion, because i don't feel your reasoning is sound for keeping the two articles separate. i am asking whether he feels it's justified keeping them apart based on what we've heard from you, nothing more. "we don't get a new dungeon map or new item," -- That was a lie, and it's one I've informed you was a lie since you first started editing this wiki. If you want me to exit this thread, simply state "We get a new dungeon map", and I'll be satisfied.KrytenKoro (talk) 00:03, 13 December 2013 (UTC)
but kryten, we don't. we don't get a new map in a chest when we enter the throne room, and we don't acquire any new item in the throne room before the boss. therefore, please help me understand how you can say it's an entirely separate dungeon? i just don't understand you, and i don't think others can either. you may feel like it's a "lie" or something, but i just don't. i don't recall ever getting a new dungeon map in a chest or a new dungeon item. are we to make separate articles for every floor of every dungeon that says "l1, l2, l3, etc" or for every throne room we encounter that's part of a castle? honestly, i just don't understand your reasoning, and i'd prefer to have hylian king's opinion in the matter since you don't seem willing to at least consider the counterargument. ...have you played ALBW at all? You get the dungeon map for each dungeon, automatically upon entering the dungeon. You never have to find it in a treasure chest. Furthermore, the first three dungeons in the game do not give you new dungeon items either. As I've already explained, the Throne Room isn't a "floor" on the Lorule Castle Dungeon Map -- it is on a completely separate dungeon map, and you can't look at the Lorule Castle floor maps while in the Throne Room, or vice versa. I've said this several times, and you continuously claiming that we "don't get a separate map" is (1) an outright falsehood, and since you've been informed of that, now a lie, and (2) indicates that you are not actually familiar with the game.
If you don't have access to the game and cannot check for yourself, I can provide photos once I get home. But again, I'm fine with you making an account of yourself to the staff, so long as you don't lie to them. Simply recant the lie, and I'll leave this thread. It's very simple.KrytenKoro (talk) 00:16, 13 December 2013 (UTC)

kryten, please don't take this the wrong way, but i really don't appreciate your tone or the way you seem to attack me. i actually have played the game through once now, and i am simply saying that throughout this series, most dungeons have maps, compasses, etc (that's not to say all do but most do). nobody is "lying" here, i am simply raising a point that in my opinion, i don't see a case to be made that the throne room is a completely separate dungeon all of its own, because it just doesn't appear to be. are we to consider the room where we fought yuga in hyrule castle to be a completely separate dungeon too? because that sits right about where lorule castle's throne room is you know? i just don't see merit in your argument, and that's just being honest. should we consider the throne room in tp to be a separate article too? or what about the throne room in the palace of twilight? what you say could all easily apply to them as well in several cases. can you offer no better reason for keeping them separate? and I am not going to "recant" a "lie" when nobody is lying here, we are simply discussing. are you really that insecure that you can't have a calm discussion with someone without accusing them of "lying" simply because they don't see what you claim to see?
