— Stray Fairy

Stray Fairies are quest items from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. Pieces of the Great Fairies that have been shattered by the Skull Kid, these must be gathered by Link in order for him to restore the Great Fairies.

When Link is stuck in a Deku shape, he must gather the Stray Fairy in Clock Town in order for the Great Fairy to be restored. After she is restored, he is given Magic Power, gaining the ability to shoot bubbles. Link can also restore the other four Great Fairies by gathering the Stray Fairies in the four temples of Termina. The Great Fairy's Mask makes this easier, as it automatically summons any Fairy not encased in a bubble or locked inside a chest directly to Link. The mask can also detect if a Stray Fairy is within a room, in which case its hair glows. The rewards for returning all Stray Fairies in each dungeon are, respectively: an empowered Spin Attack, an extended Magic Meter, reinforced Heart Containers, and the Great Fairy's Sword.
