Spin Attack
from Zeldapedia, the Legend of Zelda wiki
The Spin Attack is a sword attack that Link uses many times throughout his adventures.
When Link performs it, he charges his sword, either by just getting it into the correct position, or by making it glow with what appears to be magic. When charged, he lets go in a 360-degree slash that harms all enemies around him, often making more damage than a regular sword strike. The Spin Attack usally spins in a clockwise direction with the exceptions of The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, where it spins counter-clockwise, and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, where it can spin either clockwise or counter-clockwise depending on how it is executed: the usual clockwise spin is performed by either charging it normally, or by rotating the Control Stick clockwise and pressing the B Button; a counter-clockwise spin is performed by rotating the Control Stick counter-clockwise and pressing the B Button.
