"Don't you know about the Blue Tektite? Use Z Targeting to follow it as it bounces!"
— Tatl

Tektites are spider-like enemies found in many of the Zelda games. They usually have two varieties: a blue version and a red version. In most games, the blue version is stronger, with the exception of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, in which the red version is stronger. Most of the time, Red Tektites hang out in mountains and Blue Tektites hang out near the water. Of course, there are many exceptions to this rule.

These enemies are simple and easy to kill, yet can be difficult if many are surrounding you. Simply slash at them with your sword as they land a jump. In Ocarina of Time they are found at Lake Hylia, Zora's River and Zora's Fountain, on Death Mountain Trail, and in the Water Temple. In Majora's Mask, they are found on SnowHead, and Inside the Great Bay Temple. In Twilight Princess they are mostly located in dungeons (Goron Mines and Lakebed Temple) save for a road connecting Eldin province and Lanayru Province
