Smith's Sword is a sword from The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap. It is the first sword Link obtains in the game. It was forged by Link's grandfather, Smith. The sword's original purpose was to be a gift for the winner of the sword-fighting tournament held during the Picori Festival; however, the winner, Vaati turns Princess Zelda into stone. After a meeting in the throne room of Hyrule Castle, Link is given the task of restoring her. Minister Potho gives Link Smith's Sword to aid him in his quest. The sword is later replaced with the White Sword and its infused varieties.
