<s>I think this is wrong; wasn't it the Sage of Water who attacked Ganondorf and was subsequently killed by him? I'm sure there are six pillars around the Mirror of Twilight, and the Water emblem is the broken one (The Seventh Sage in OoT was Zelda, wasn't it?)

this IS wrong the caption under the Sage of water picture should be changed to the sage of light... look at the symbol on his clothes. It's not the water sage symbol it's the Light Sage's symbol.

Sword of the Sages
"The sword's shape seems to boast a type of long sword, though its size suggests that it is more of a katana-like blade instead."

: How does the size imply a katana? A katana is slightly curved with a single bladed side and a relatively small, usually round guard. This sword is clearly straight and bladed on both sides with an elaborate guard. I agree that it's probably a long sword, but it bears similarities to European swords and Chinese straight swords, not katanas. Anyone else agree? (I don't want to go changing the page without a second opinion). --Wodo, Sage of Mediocrity 17:41, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

:I'm no expert on swords, and from the look of it, you seem to know what you're talking about. So feel free to change it to what would sound more correct. Dany36 19:12, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

::I've read up on these too. It looks far more like a long sword than katana. Go ahead and change it. 20:24, June 22, 2009 (UTC)

:::Thank you! Updates made. This thing rather reminds me of a massive Chinese executioner's sword I once saw in a museum (about 6 feet in length), but I haven't been able to find any information since. --Wodo, Sage of Mediocrity 01:40, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

Proposed move: Sword of the Sages > Ganondorf's Sword
I'm proposing that we move this article from a fan-created name to more appropriate title (not dissimilar to the move of Anti-Master Sword > Demise's Sword that we did awhile back). The sword is explicitly titled "Ganondorf's Sword" in Hyrule Historia, and is literally Ganondorf's sword in the game, so this seems like an appropriate title to use. Using fan-made names seems unprofessional, and gives the impression that the sword itself is of significance to the sages (when for all we know, Ganondorf just happened to snag a generic sword the sages use for executions). --Dorsal Axe (talk) 17:04, 29 December 2013 (UTC)

I'm still pretty new to this Wiki(actually not, but I'm new to editing it) so I don't know any other way to show my support but to say so. --Dratini(talk) 08:55, 4 February 2014(UTC/GMT)

I think what it boils down to is that it simply isn't Ganondorf's sword. The sword belonged to the sages. This would be comparable to moving Kokiri Sword to a page called "Link's sword". I would support having "Ganondorf's sword" redirect to Sword of the Sages, but not moving it all to another page. --Plyers (talk) 05:25, 9 August 2014 (UTC)

:I agree with Plyers. It simply isn't the same situation as Demise's Sword. 06:47, 9 August 2014 (UTC)

::I should also point out that Hyrule Historia calls it "Ganondorf's sword" in that case, so it's not a proper noun (the section title is captilized just because its a section title). It's not the title of the sword, just a description. However, it's also worth noting that the current title is entirely conjecture too. --<span style="color:#A70000">Snorlax</span><span style="color:#0000A7">Monster</span> 15:04, 21 October 2014 (UTC)

:::If I can give my opinion, we should move Sword of the Sages two Ganondorf's Sword. MHNinja479 needs a life (talk) 18:38, 30 April 2015 (UTC)

::::I Think this should remain as Sword of the Sages. but i did make Ganondorf's Sword a Redirect to it. TrueZelda (Talk) 20:16, 28 November 2015 (UTC)
