The official Japanese site calls it "サルボ". I'm guessing Wolfger assumed it was named after the province/mountain, like Faron, but I suggest we move it to Sarubo for now. 22:03, 22 October 2011 (EDT)

:::It does resemble the creature on the far left of Hylia, just compare the shapes bearing in mind that the depiction is stylised. This little guy could be more of a sage for all we know. I mean, if it is a robot, then spirit might not be an accurate description anyway. Plus, "a flying robot equipped with two arms, Sarubo" doesn't need to refer to a name rather than a species; it could be either, the grammar is fine either way. 'A large creature with rock-like skin, Goron' would work in a similar way. I'm not saying that it definitely isn't called 'Sarubo', but 'Eldin' seems logical given that the Faron province equivalent is a creature who is called Faron. Either way, we should wait until we know the English name. Fyrisvellir 10:23, 23 October 2011 (EDT)
The Boko Baba is an enemy that appears in The Wind Waker. It is a plant-like enemy similar to the Deku Baba, and given the possible timeline placements of The Wind Waker, it may be theorized to be an evolved descendant. It looks like a harmless Baba Bud, but when Link approaches, it springs out revealing its monstrous head. The Boko Baba is very similar in appearance to a Venus Flytrap and even has similar "teeth" to one. It hangs out its purple tipped, yellow tongue, and drools purple saliva, craving for the green garbed hero. A larger form of Boko Baba also appears in the game; the boss Kalle Demos.

::::As with Fi, being a robot probably has no bearing on it being a spirit manufactured by the Goddess. And you're missing the point of it being a character rather than a race. Had it been introduced as a race, the site would have referred to it as サルボ族, as it did with the Kikwi, Parella and Mogma, the latter of which was "introduced" at the same time as Sarubo. Your Goron point is normally valid, but seeing as they deliberately introduced the other three as races themselves and didn't for Sarubo, Sarubo would be an individual name. While "Eldin" would be logical, I wouldn't put it past them to name it something else.

::::If it's best to wait until an official English name comes along, why have a page for it at all? I believe there's more than enough evidence to justify even a temporary move. 10:54, 23 October 2011 (EDT)

:::::The introduction of it as an individual rather than a race could easily be a mistake on the website. Do you think that the introduction image of Hylia depicts her alongside four races, and just one of her servants for some reason? Because the opening at that stage is talking about the beings surrounding her as land-dwelling races. I think we can drag Occam's Razor across that issue. Anyway, don't get me wrong, Sarubo seems like an extremely likely candidate, I just think we should wait for an official English name, since when we do find it out, it would replace the Japanese one anyway. And I'm not the one who made this page; I don't think we should have it, but now that it's here, it may as well stay. Fyrisvellir 11:05, 23 October 2011 (EDT)

The Boko Baba has three methods of attack; a surprise attack when it first springs out of its bud, a simple bite or headbutt attack, and its unblockable eating attack. The latter can be anticipated when it licks its lips, and it subsequently grabs and vigorously chews Link in its

large mouth, dealing 1¼ hearts of damage every couple of seconds. Luckily, Link is too big for a Boko Baba to swallow and will be spat out.

:Scratch all that; turns out the name is Scrapper. Fyrisvellir 16:19, 28 October 2011 (EDT)
To kill the Boko Baba, one must attack it until it straightens its neck (following two sword slashes), and then sever its head. Alternatively the Boomerang will kill it in one hit. In its normal dying animation, the head is chopped off and both bud and head disappear in a cloud of black smoke. Hitting it with the Hookshot will straighten up its neck. If it is killed by being struck with the Skull Hammer, a different dying animation will follow, whereby its head is flattened on the ground and then bursts (without the usual black smoke). Subsequently the Boko Bud will also explode.

When defeated, depending upon the Boko Baba, it may leave its bud behind intact. It also leaves behind a Boko Stick, and sometimes a Boko Baba Seed which is also possible to obtain using the Grappling Hook.

Baba Bud

When Link jumps into a Baba Bud, it will spit him high into the air in any direction. Upon jumping into one, as a bonus, a small amount of magic power will be recovered. This is important, because many areas require Link to use the Deku Leaf (a magic-consuming item) after jumping out of the Baba Bud. It should be noted that the actual bud and a bud occupied by a Boko Baba are slightly different colors.

*The Boko Baba's Italian name, Nefentyax, is likely derived from the Nepenthes genus of carnivorous plants.

That's an interesting theory, but here's why I don't think so:
1) To me, the as-of-yet unrevealed race on the far left of Her Grace doesn't resemble the little creature on this page very much, apart from the small stature and its face.
2) Given that it's a spirit, I highly doubt there would be a race of it running around.
3) Based on 2 translations done by myself and another Japanese speaker, the first line of text reads "A flying robot equipped with two arms, Sarubo". If correct, this indicates that it wouldn't be a race by normal means, and that "Sarubo" is indeed its name.
I haven't studied the text all that much, but from what I can tell, the site goes on to say that you have to help navigate Sarubo around. So it doesn't seem to introduce it as a species (as it did with the Parella), but more of a person. I've extracted the Japanese text, in case someone else wants to have a crack at translating it.

It does resemble the creature on the far left of Hylia, just compare the shapes bearing in mind that the depiction is stylised.
As with Fi, being a robot probably has no bearing on it being a spirit manufactured by the Goddess.
If it's best to wait until an official English name comes along, why have a page for it at all? I believe there's more than enough evidence to justify even a temporary move. - TonyT S C 10:54, 23 October 2011 (EDT)
The introduction of it as an individual rather than a race could easily be a mistake on the website.
