Skullropes are recurring enemies in the Legend of Zelda series. They have the exact same appearance and attack method of regular Ropes, aside from the skulls situated on their heads. Their only form of attack is ramming Link, dealing minimal damage, and they can easily be defeated with any of Link's weapons.

Appearances

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

Skullropes are first encountered in the fourth Dark World dungeon, Thieves' Town, but only if Link pulls an incorrect switch during one of the puzzles in the dungeon.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds

Skullropes appear in the Graveyard (A Link to the Past/A Link Between Worlds) and a number of dungeons throughout the game and are effectively the Lorule equivalent of Ropes. They are more common in this game. Like in the past game, pulling the wrong switch will summon many of them.
