Skull Woods is a location from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. This large forest is located in the northwestern region of the Dark World and is the Dark World's equivalent of the Lost Woods. Unlike the Lost Woods, however, all of the trees are the grim Dark World trees, and instead of logs are the spines of massive creatures.

[edit] Points of interest
[edit] Skull Palace
The Skull Palace is the third Dark World dungeon that Link encounters in his quest to rescue the Seven Maidens. The dungeon's main treasure is the Fire Rod, and the boss of the Skull Palace is Mothula. Interestingly, the dungeon has several entrances above ground.
[edit] Thieves' Town
The Village of Outcasts, though not located in the Skull Woods itself, is located directly next to the Woods. The Village is home to many Thieves, and it is the Dark World version of Kakariko Village. Several shops and mini-games can be found here. The fourth dungeon of Link's quest in the Dark World is found here as well. Blind the Thief is the boss and the Titan's Mitt is the main item obtained here.
[edit] Fortuneteller
Located next to Skull Woods is a house home to a fortuneteller who will tell Link his fortune. This fortune is more of a way of directing Link where he should proceed next. There is also a pile of rocks next to the house that house Fairies that Link can obtain by dashing into the rocks.
[edit] Shop
There is a shop near Skull Woods that carries red potions, shields, and bombs. This proves useful for Link should he need supplies.
