The Shield Bash is a skill from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. Link can use this technique to parry an enemy's attack with his shield, often causing the enemy to recoil, lowering its guard and allowing Link to attack. It will also prevent Link from recoiling from a powerful attack, allowing for further defence or a counterattack. The Shield Bash is also capable of reflecting projectiles and energy beams. The Shield Bash's successful use prevents the Shield Gauge from depleting, extending the life of Link's shield. It is also useful against certain bosses. Interestingly, if Link uses this skill with perfect timing, Link can block a fire attack with the Wooden Shield, or an electric attack with the Iron Shield, without it being destroyed.
