- "Link? That's a nice name, but... Hmm... Well, all right then. How about... Grasshopper? That's the name Romani gives you. See, you're wearing green clothes, and you patter about when you walk, so Grasshopper it is!"

[edit] Biography
Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.
If Link uses a Powder Keg to destroy the boulder blocking the entrance to Romani Ranch on the First Day, he can talk to Romani, who is training with a Bow in order to fend off creatures that steal the ranch's cows on a yearly basis (specifically, before the Carnival of Time), known only as "Them". Romani takes a liking to Link and asks him to "audition" to be her assistant in the battle against "Them". After a horseback archery trial involving ghost-like balloons as targets has been completed, Link is allowed to take Epona outside of Romani Ranch, as long as he promises to aid Romani come nightfall. The two indeed meet again at night; Romani stations herself in the barn while Link uses Epona to fend off "Them" until dawn. If Link succesfully prevents "Them" from reaching the barn, the creatures disappear and Romani presents him with a bottle of Chateau Romani.
If Link either fails to stop "Them" from reaching the cows or misses the entire quest altogether, Romani is transported away by the mysterious creatures along with the cows. She somehow is returned to Romani Ranch on the Second and Final Days. However, during her absence, she has somehow landed in a state of amnesia and cannot speak coherently.
During the credits sequence, Romani can be seen showing off her archery skills by quickly aiming for and blowing up ghost-like balloons with accurate shots as Cremia cheers her on.
