[edit] Biography

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

First encountered in the Twilight as a spirit, he watches the children from Ordon Village, and keeps them safe in his sanctuary after they escape capture from King Bulblin's forces. Later, he helps heal the Zora, Prince Ralis, when Link escorts Telma and Ilia to Kakariko, and is later an important part of restoring Ilia's memories. He runs the sanctuary next to Eldin Spring, where he lives with his daughter. He is shown as being the basic caretaker. He seems to be a generally gentle and calm mannered character, and Telma seems to be attracted to him. Despite this, Renado asks if Link can deliver a letter to Telma because he despises her company later in the game.

It is revealed by Mayor Bo that the two know each other and share some kind of friendship.

Interestingly, there is an Owl Statue in his basement that Shad comes to see. Behind the statue is the broken Sky Cannon that shoots Link to the City in the Sky.
