[edit] Biography
Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.
Quill first convinces Tetra and her pirates to transport Link to the Forsaken Fortress, so he can save Aryll. He then supplies Link with information about the location of Jabun, a water Deity who formerly inhabited Greatfish Isle, after accidentally telling the pirates where Jabun's location is. Quill also helps save Link and Tetra along with Prince Komali and Valoo from Ganondorf's clutches in the Forsaken Fortress.
Quill seems to be rather stern in nature, probably due to the distrust many people give to the Rito tribe, but he does seem to both like and trust Link. He, and presumably most Ritos, are intensely disliked by Maggie's Father (though this could just be because of the nature of Moe's letter that the Rito were trying to deliver to Maggie).
