After collecting ten Medals of Courage from The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords, Link will be able to begin a scavenger hunt by talking to Q. Bumpkin, who resides in the Woodsmen's Hut to the far northeast corner of the Light World.

He will give Link a series of riddles, the answers being objects throughout Hyrule. To solve the riddle, Link must obtain that item by using the Bug-Catching Net on it and storing it in a Bottle. After taking the item back to the Bumpkin brother, Link will be given another riddle.

The Riddles

Riddle One

"Cock-a-doodle-doo! What is it? Go find it and catch it with your Bug-Catching Net!"
— Q. Bumpkin

Link must catch a Cucco. One Cucco can be found near the Kakariko Village shop.

Riddle Two

"The Scissors by the water... what is it?"
— Q. Bumpkin

Link must catch a Crab. Crabs can be found found near water.

Riddle Three

"It's shiny and red. what is it?"
— Q. Bumpkin

Link must catch a Red Rupee. They can be found randomly by means of an enemy drop.

Riddle Four

"It's moist and fresh... what is it?"
— Q. Bumpkin

Link must catch a Fish. After draining the pond in southern Hyrule by opening the floodgate, a fish will be flopping around outside.

Riddle Five

"BOOOM! Skitter-scatter... what is it?"
— Q. Bumpkin

Link must catch a Tiny Octoballoon. One Octoballoon can be found at the southwestern part of Hyrule. When it explodes, Link can use his Bug-Catching Net to capture one of the smaller Octobaloons before they disappear.

Riddle Six

"Sprinkle and watch it wobble... what is it?"
— Q. Bumpkin

Link must catch a Slime, which can be created by sprinkling Magic Powder on an enemy such as an Octorok, or by using the Quake Medallion near them.

Riddle Seven

"It munches on nuts... what is it?"
— Q. Bumpkin

Link must find a Squirrel. These can be found in the Lost Woods in the alcove where the Master Sword rested.

Riddle Eight

"Pull it out, but... too bad! what is it?"
— Q. Bumpkin

Link must find a Fake Sword. These are scattered throughout the Lost Woods.

Riddle Nine

"It's red and sweet... what is it?"
— Q. Bumpkin

Link must find an Apple. Apples can be found by dashing into a tree northeast of Hyrule Castle near a Red Knight.

Riddle Ten

"The spectacled wanderer... what is it?"
— Q. Bumpkin

The final object is a Cukeman. Cukemen can be created by sprinkling Magic Powder on a Buzzblob.

Reward

After completing all ten riddles, Q. Bumpkin teaches Link the Whirlwind Sword Attack. It can be used by charging up the Master Sword and then rapidly and repeatedly pressing the "B" button. Link will rapidly spin around in circles while simultaneously swinging the Master Sword. Using the Whirlwind Sword Attack drains Link's Magic Meter.
