- — Imprisoned Monkey
The Pipes of Awakening are an instrument from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. They serve as the instrument for Deku Link. The only other known player of the Pipes is the Deku Princess, though it is briefly mentioned that she had only recently learned to play them. The Pipes are used at various times throughout the game for purposes such as unlocking secrets and playing mini-games.
[edit] Design
The Pipes of Awakening consist of five horns, and due to their loud sound, it is assumed they require powerful lungs and proper embouchure to play with good tone.
[edit] Story
When shown to the Imprisoned Monkey, he recognizes the Pipes of Awakening as the same instrument the Deku Princess plays. Because of this he teaches Link the "Sonata of Awakening", the song required the enter Woodfall Temple.
