Magic Ring

Magic Rings have different effects on Link when worn. Some improve his abilities, while others decrease them. Some Rings can change the appearance of Link into different enemies or characters. Some others are simply collectibles with no effect. Once Link gets a new Ring, he can get it appraised by Vasu in order to be used. If Link gets a repeated Ring, Vasu will buy it for 20 Rupees. Depending on what Ring Box Link currently has, up to five Rings can be taken with him, while the remaining Rings are stored in Vasu Jewelers. Magic Rings can be exchanged over through a Linked Game, in which the Rings from one game can be transferred over to another.

There are 64 different Magic Rings available in both games.

Effects and Locations

Notes:

1 point of Sword damage is equivalent to the strength of the Wooden Sword.
1 point of damage taken is equivalent to 1/8 Heart.
The availability of randomly obtainable rings depends on their tier. Each soil patch where a Gasha Seed can be planted has a different range of tiers available.
Rings that belong to tiers 2 and 3 are sometimes dropped by Maple.
Winning the third round of the Treasure Chest Game will yield a tier 1 Ring. The fourth round's prize is tier 2 Ring, while the fifth round is a tier 3 Ring.
The Advance Shop has a single tier 3 Ring for sale.
