The Pegasus Boots were an item which appeared in several games in the Legend of Zelda series. This pair of boots allowed Link to sprint at high speeds. He could use them for a variety of purposes, such as smashing into walls or trees to knock things off them, or running across dangerous ground, like quicksand.

[edit] The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

The Pegasus Boots were first seen in this game. They were given to Link by Sahasrahla, who had inherited them from his ancestors. Sahasrahla had been holding them until the arrival of the Hero who could draw the Master Sword from its pedestal. When Link proved his worth by acquiring the Pendants of Virtue, Sahasrahala knew that the one he had awaited had finally come.

[edit] The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening

Link found the Pegasus Boots inside Key Cavern, the third dungeon on Koholint Island. When he wore these boots and equipped the Roc's Feather, he was able to leap great distances.

[edit] The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap

A shoemaker in Hyrule Town crafted the Pegasus Boots for Link. He needed them in order to cross the marshy terrain of Castor Wilds.

[edit] The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures

In this game, the Pegasus Boots could be upgraded to Level 2 Pegasus Boots, which let Link sprint so fast that he had the ability to run over holes and cliffs.
