Nayru's Love is a shielding spell that Link receives from a Great Fairy near the Desert Colossus found in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. At the cost of magic, it creates a blue crystal-like shield around Link for some time, preventing him from taking damage. However, Link will still "react" as if he took damage. For example, if an Iron Knuckle attacks him with a mighty axe blow, Link will fly across the room but will not lose any hearts.

During the effects of Nayru's love, Link is unable to use any other magical equipment. He cannot fire any magical arrows, nor can he use the Lens of Truth or any of the other magical spells until the effect has worn off.

Nayru's Love is also Princess Zelda's standard B attack as a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. When she performs it, she shatters the crystal just after creating it, harming her enemies with its shards and reflecting projectiles.
