Moon's Tears are Items in Majora's Mask.[1]

Location and Uses[]

Moon's Tears fall from the surface of the Moon to Termina, so named by Professor Shikashi because they fall from what appears to be the Moon's eye.[2] They're rumored to be the shiniest stones in the world and are consequently highly valuable.[3]

Professor Shikashi keeps one of these rare stones in a display case, which the Skull Kid threatened to steal.[4] Link can acquire a single Moon's Tear for himself by peering through the telescope in the Astral Observatory. When Link takes a closer look at the Skull Kid,[5] who is fooling around on the top of the Clock Tower,[6] a Moon's Tear will fall from the Moon and impact just outside the observatory with a bang. Afterwards, the Skull Kid will taunt Link and disappear. The young hero can then find it embedded in a small crater where it landed, just within the fenced area outside the Astral Observatory door.[7]

The Moon's Tear is essential in starting the trading process that involves all the Business Scrubs in Termina. After obtaining the Moon's Tear, it can be given to the Business Scrub in South Clock Town, who is looking for a gift for his wife,[8] for the Town Title Deed. This will allow him to use the yellow Deku Flower and access the small platform in front of the Clock Tower.[9]
