Moinks are enemies from The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. Identical in appearance to pigs from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Moinks wander the open areas, sometimes congregating on the Spirit Tracks. The Spirit Train's whistle can be used to scare Moinks away from the tracks, but if the train happens to hit one, or if one is shot with the Cannon it turns red and is brought to an abrupt stop, and the horde of Moinks begin attacking the train relentlessly, similar to that of a Cucco.

Etymology Edit

The particular coloring of the pigs (white with black spots) is reminiscent of cows, which "say" "mooo." English onomatopoeia for the sounds pigs make is "oink." "Moink" is probably a portmanteau blend of the two sounds.
