The Garo are a race of people long dead that lived in an unknown country outside of Termina, possibly Subrosia (due to the resemblance between Subrosians and Garo Ninjas). In life, the Garo were long time enemies of the Ikana, and the Stalfos (whom are also undead), and in the afterlife, their rivalry continues, as Garo Ninjas clashed even after becoming extinct. The warriors of the Garo, Garo Ninjas, are swift assailants, and even to this day spy on the deserted Ikana Castle, not realizing that they are dead.

Merging pages
Garo also have the power to see the player while wearing the stone mask.
First of all, this is a really great idea. I've been in this community barely a month and I already felt there was a need for a talk page about problems of the whole wiki.

  +
The leader of the Garo is the Garo Master, who Link defeats in the Stone Tower Temple.
Ok, so now, the problem: there are many different pages that should be really the same page. I'm in the process of merging them (Bombs so far, and halfway through Potions), but I haven't had much time since I came back to school, and plus, my keyboard doesn't always cooperate, making it a lot more difficult. So while I probably will end up doing some of those, I put them here so people an find out and fix them too, since problems like these are hard to find (I've found most through moments of boredom, while I click on 'Random Page' endlessly, lol.)

So, here are some of the multiple pages to be merged I've found:

  +

* <s>Picto Box - Pictograph box, Pictobox, Deluxe Picto Box, and Pictograph.</s>

* <s>Outset Island - Aryll's Lookout and arguably Fairy Forest (there's not much to talk about it on its own, although it technically is a separate area in the game).</s>

* <s>Dragon Roost Island - Dragon Roost Pond, and arguably the Wind Shrine (not much to talk about either).</s>

* Triangle Isles - Technically different places, but similar in function, and they all have almost nothing to talk about: Eastern Triangle Island, Southern Triangle Island, and Northern Triangle Island.

* <s>Ordon Village and Ordon Ranch</s>

* <s>Korok, Korok Ceremony and all other non-important Koroks (everyone but Makar and arguably Hollo): Irch, Olivio, Oakin, etc.</s>

Phew, that was a lot, though there are probably more. Anyway, IMO you can't make a good page without much to talk about, so merging these multiple empty pages will end up in fewer good pages. Quality vs. quantity, basically. -Memo326 20:30, 20 January 2008 (EST)

:I don't know if Ordon Village and Ordon Ranch should be merged. From what I can remember, the Ranch is never actually said to actually be a part of Ordon Village. --Hisak 22:24, 20 January 2008 (EST)

::I think for the islands, like Outset and Dragon Roost, there should be a section for landmarks. And then they should just simply state them. The Triangle Isles should be merged into one page as well.--Green 12:34, 21 January 2008 (EST)

:::I don't think the Triangle Isles should be merged due to the fact that they are three seperate islandsand aren't even anywher close to each other. They all take different pearls, and I believe there's a Korok and a wilted Deku Sprout on one of them. I don't think Fairy Forest or Aryll's Lookout should be merged because they're different places that actually have a purpose in the game and are part of the storyline. Green's idea is pretty good though. Ordon Ranch and Ordon Village definitely should not merged. I think Pictobox and Pictograph box should should be merged.--Icytriforc 21:03, 22 January 2008 (EST)

::::I agree, Green's suggestion is a good one. With that in mind, I'd agree with the Outset and Dragon Roost merges. Also definitely yes to Picto___ (I was gonna do that myself, but not sure under what title?) Less sure about the rest, but if done properly it could work. Maybe a discussion is needed at Talk:Picto Box about format/structure? --Adam (talk) 15:56, 23 January 2008 (EST)

::::Ok, I've merged the picto pages under Pictography; not entirely happy with it yet, it's sort of a work-in-progress. Now that most of the above has been completed, maybe it's time to turn our attention to the other articles to be merged? —Adam (talk) 18:13, 23 February 2008 (EST)

Huge Galleries
Articles such as Midna have giant galleries. I'm always wary of these types of things getting big because there are (although not many) users who still have slower connections, plus the galleries take up a lot of space. I think something for pages with galleries like these should be given the treatment that Link got, and have their galleries moved to a separate page. --Jase 21:35, 23 January 2008 (EST)

Soul Calibur II and the CD-i games
I know that they aren't "technically" Zelda games, but I think that we should be giving Soul Calibur II and the CD-i games the same amount attention we've (I've) been giving the Smash Bros. games. If there's anyone with extensive knowledge of any of these games, could you create/improve pages for the characters and locations of these games? --Hisak 00:23, 10 February 2008 (EST)

:I agree. I don't really focus on the non-canon Zelda info myself, plus I highly doubt anyone here actually has any of the CD-i games... The main reason I don't mess with the non-Zelda pages is because I don't necessarily agree with the Wiki's policies on non-Zelda content (full pages on Mario, Lucario, etc.? seriously?), so I probably wouldn't be good for that. Anyone else could, though. :P --Ando 16:56, 10 February 2008 (EST)

::Did you know that, other than a site in french, were one of the only sources of information on the internet for the CD-i games (outside of wikipedia)? Yes, they're horrendously badly made, and the information in them isn't canon, and they're not part of the series... but surely denying their existence is censorship? A lot of the stuff we have didn't even exist a year ago, but I did some research (during which I laughed a lot. And died inside a little...) and created some basic info. Others have added information on the key characters, but it certainly needs to be improved. I may create a small template to link all the pages. (P.S. I know zero about Soul Calibur, so I can't comment). --Adam (talk) 02:59, 11 February 2008 (EST)

:Maybe I should re-phrase my statement. I really only don't focus on non-canon content because I don't own any of the games. If I owned the games I'd be editing up a storm, believe me, but those things are expensive and I just don't have the funds.

:May... maybe if anyone is willing to donate to the "Ando Wants the CD-i Games" fund? :D I'd buy 'em in a heartbeat. I've been wanting to play them anyway. :P--Ando 12:49, 11 February 2008 (EST)

::Understood. Word of warning though; heed the advice of the french guy I mentioned, given here in the conclusion. The games and consoles are horrendously expensive, and looking at the videos on youtube I don't think anyone could honestly enjoy playing these games? --Adam (talk) 14:00, 11 February 2008 (EST)

Well actually, someone on amazon gave the Wand of Gamelon 4 stars. But I agree, Soul Calibur and the CDi games should be given attention. I also think that The Legend of Zelda games template should have a new section called "Philips CD-i games", then under it have the Wand of Gamelon, Zelda's adventure and the Faces of Evil. But I can't be of much help on giving the articles attention, I don't own the games you see. :-(--Link hero of light 18:48, 12 February 2008 (EST)

— Garo Ninja

Template:Enemy The Garo are a race of people long dead that lived in an unknown country outside of Termina, possibly Subrosia (due to the resemblance between Subrosians and Garo Ninjas).

To speak to a Garo, one must wear the Garo Mask. However, the Garo Ninja will attack the impostor. Defeat of a Ninja is rewarded with a bit of information before the Ninja disappears.

Garo also have the power to see the player while wearing the stone mask.

The leader of the Garo is the Garo Master, who Link defeats in the Stone Tower Temple.
