Maka Rah Shrine is a Shrine from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It is located inside a cavern in the Hebra Mountains whose entrance is on the side of a cliff just northwest of the Flight Range near Rito Village. The entrance can be spotted by finding a small island in Lake Kilsie with a breakable rock concealing a natural updraft, then catching the updraft with the Paraglider and gliding into the cavern. The Sheikah Monk Maka Rah puts forth a trial entitled Steady Thy Heart, offering a Spirit Orb to Link upon completion of the trial.

"Steady Thy Heart" Trial

Link enters onto a small caged platform facing a barred doorway which can be opened by lighting a brazier to the left. Through the doorway is a slowly rotating octagonal bridge with patches of spikes on its surface, suspended over a pit of lava. On the other side of the bridge is a Foot Switch which opens the wall ahead to reveal a small room filled with shallow water and containing 4 Guardian Scouts (projectile-only variety). At the far end of the room are 2 raised platforms, one holding a chest containing 10 Bomb Arrows, and the other with a second Foot Switch, which are accessible using the Cryonis Rune. Once activated, the second Foot Switch causes the back wall to open revealing a smaller room with a large barred doorway and containing a third Foot Switch. Activating this switch raises the bars, revealing a wall of wooden boxes and releasing a large spiked metal ball which rolls down a slope and smashes through the boxes, heading towards the switch. Once this is avoided, Link can advance up the slope. At the top of the slope, turning around Link can find three breakable blocks which can be destroyed using a Remote Bomb to reveal a chest containing a Diamond which can be accessed using the Magnesis Rune. Continuing along the path, another chest containing an Ancient Core can be found on a small platform across a pit of lava, also accessible using the Magnesis Rune. Turning right, Link is faced with another barred doorway and a fourth Floor Switch. Upon activation, the switch opens the doorway to reveal a longer, narrower slope and releasing another large spiked metal ball which Link must either backtrack or utilize the Magnesis Rune to avoid. At the top of this slope sits Maka Rah in his enclosure.
