The Game Boy Advance (often shortened to GBA) is the succesor of the Game Boy Color. It was released in Japan on March 21, 2001; in North America on June 11, 2001; and in Europe on June 22, 2001. With a 32-bit memory and a 20% larger screen than other Game Boy installments, it deserved it's license to thrill. A Link to the Past was remade for the Game Boy Advance and came with a small, multiplayer Zelda game called Four Swords Later, an all-new Zelda title was released: The Minish Cap. Three kinds of Game Boy Advance's were produced:
- The classic Game Boy Advance
- The folding Game Boy Advance SP
- The tiny Game Boy Micro
