The Light Sword is a sword from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. While not a separate sword as such, when the Master Sword has been infused with the power of Sols from the Twilight Realm, the Master Sword turns into a radiant blade known as the Light Sword that has the power to cut through Twilight. The Light Sword temporarily disperses the fog made by Shadow Crystals found throughout the Twilight Realm. The sword is extremely effective against creatures of Twilight, usually killing them with one normal slash. The Light Sword is only usable in the Twilight Realm and reverts back to the regular Master Sword when Link transports himself back to Hyrule with the exception of battles with shadow beasts. However, the Light Sword shines for the slightest of instances at the moment of the break of Twilight.
In order to get the Master Sword filled with light, Link must receive the Sols in the Palace of Twilight. The Sols are guarded by monsters and two Zant's Hands that start chasing it when it is removed from the pedestal. The hands chase Link all the way outside of the temple. When both Sols are received, the sword fills with light.
The only way to get to Zant is to use the sword in a room with elevators. The best use of the sword is the use to kill all Twilight Monsters in one strike. This includes Shadow Beasts. Filling the Master Sword with light is a one-time, irreversible event.
