The Ladder is an item from The Legend of Zelda. This handy item allows Link to cross areas he usually cannot, such as a one-square gap of water or lava. It is obtained in Level 4 of the First Quest and Level 6 of the Second Quest in The Legend of Zelda. Like the Raft, the ladder does not require any particular action from Link in order to be used; he simply needs to walk to the edge of the gap, and the ladder will automatically appear below him, allowing him to cross.
