The Kokiri Sword is a recurring sword in the Legend of Zelda series. While its design varies between appearances, it is always a short sword, made for use by the diminuitive Kokiri race, and thus, it cannot be used by adults.

[edit] The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Link must find the the Kokiri Sword, the first sword in the game, in area of the Kokiri Forest known as the Forest Training Center. Here, he finds a tunnel, which he must crawl through in order to reach a maze-like area where the Kokiri Sword is located. Link needs the sword and a Deku Shield to convince Mido to let him through to the Great Deku Tree's meadow.

[edit] The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

Link begins his journey already equipped with a redesigned version of the Kokiri Sword. The Sword can later be re-forged into the Razor Sword by Zubora & Gabora, which has twice the power as the Kokiri Sword, then again into the Gilded Sword if Link is carrying a bottle of Gold Dust, which has three times the power.

Along with the Deku Shield, the Kokiri Sword is Young Link's primary weapon.

The Razor Sword (a sharpened version of the Kokiri Sword) reappears as one of Link's weapons.

In the Ocarina of Time Manga, Mido gives Link the Kokiri Sword after the two defeat Queen Gohma. Link then uses the sword to carve the Deku Shield.
