The Keaton Mask is a recurring mask in the Legend of Zelda series. The design of the mask is based on the legendary and mysterious fox-like race of creatures known as the Keatons, which appear in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. A misconception early in the making of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was that the mask was a mask of Pikachu, a Pokémon.

Link can obtain it by borrowing it from the Happy Mask Shop in Hyrule Castle Town, in order to sell it to another person. It is the first mask Link obtains in the Happy Mask side quest, and it can be sold to the Hyrulean Soldier guarding the gate to Death Mountain in Kakariko Village for 15 Rupees, allowing Link to make a 5 Rupee profit.
Interestingly, it can be borrowed again once Link has already sold it, but it serves no real purpose other than comic relief.
[edit] The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
The Keaton Mask reappears as one of the twenty-four masks that Link can collect. It can be obtained from the Man from Curiosity Shop by entering the Laundry Pool in Clock Town after 4 PM on the Final Day, if Link has successfully met Kafei. The Curiosity Shop's owner will give Link the mask, which Kafei used to conceal his face while in hiding; as well as Kafei's letter to his mother.
The Keaton Mask can be used to summon Keatons in certain locations; if Link swings his sword at special circles of bushes while wearing the mask, a Keaton will appear, and immediately recognize that Link is in disguise. However, the Keaton senses that the Hylian are good people, and asks Link to answer five random questions about people, places and animals in Termina. If Link answers all five questions correctly, he will receive a Piece of Heart.
