The Gust Jar is an item from The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap. This large jar is obtained in the first dungeon, the Deepwood Shrine. The jar can be used by Link to suck in nearby enemies or objects. Once released, the Gust Jar shoots the object or enemy back out at high speeds, usually destroying it if it hits another solid object or wall. The Gust Jar can also be used to suck things onto itself, allowing Link to transport himself over deep ravines if he is aiming at one of the elastic mushrooms found throughout Hyrule.

Additionally, when no object is in its path, the Gust Jar simply shoots out large gusts of wind, allowing propulsion to occur should Link find himself on an easily movable object like an oversized lily pad, effectively allowing transport over deep water. Another use for the Gust Jar is to suck up patches of dust found on floors, revealing chests or buttons underneath.
