— Info provided on the great fairy's sword

The Great Fairy's Sword is a sword from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. This magical, double-handed sword is imbued with the Great Fairy's power and has roses etched into the side of it. Because it is a double-handed sword, it cannot be used in concurrence with a shield. To offset this disadvantage, the Great Fairy's Sword deals four times as much damage as the Kokiri Sword, making it a very formidable blade. Unlike other swords, the Great Fairy's Sword doesn't replace Link's sword. Instead it is used as an equipable item, meaning Link can use it even if he is jinxed by a Blue Bubble. Like most swords there are two methods using the Spin Attack. The first is a quick spin attack activated by rotating the control stick while pressing the corresponding item button. Due to it not being on the standard B button the charge method can only be preformed with a glitch. Link must press the assigned C and B button at the same time while having the Great Fairy's Sword out.

Link can obtain the magical sword by rescuing all the Stray Fairies from Stone Tower Temple and returning them to the Great Fairy Fountain in Ikana Canyon.

[edit] Soulcalibur II

The Great Fairy's Sword is Link's Legendary Weapon; it can be bought from Cepheus for 9800 Gold. It has a slightly higher reach than Link's default sword, and a higher attack. Whilst using it, Link regains health automatically over time. However, when the sword was brought from Termina, it lost the ability to completely defend Link, so he takes 10% of an attacks damage, even when guarding.

Link wields the sword with one hand instead of two, and holds a shield in his other hand. This may be due to the fact that Link is an adult in this game. However, in this game, Link uses all his swords with one hand to allow a shield, even Biggoron's Sword. It is more likely to retain similar gameplay across his weapons. The sword also comes with the Hylian Shield even though Link can only aquire this sword if he already has the Mirror Shield in Majora's Mask.
